Scorpions Piano Tribute song suggestions

Hi everyone. My name is Jacob and I just joined here yesterday after a few years of following the site. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner...

Anyway! I play piano by ear and plan on recording a Scorpions Piano Tribute album for you all to enjoy. For free, of course

Originally, I was just going to play my favorite songs, but I guess that would not be fair. So I would like to know - if you could choose any 10 scorpions songs to be in piano form, what would they be? I'm aiming for about 10-13. It's going to be quite a challenge for me to stay motivated, but I think I can do it.

The Scorpions may be retiring, but their fans are not!

Also, once I get my suggestions, would you rather the entire "album" be released at once, or release each song as they are finished?

In case anyone is wondering, I record using Propellerhead's Reason 4 and some audio equipment that I bought a few years ago.

Oh, also, is it possible to choose a different layout for the forums? The purple is (no joking) hurting my eyes a little bit. Thanks!

So I guess this is a bad idea? I'd appreciate if at least one of the 50 views could give a little input. If it's not worth my time, then I'll just forget about it. I thought it would be something many people would enjoy for sure. Oh well.

That's a cool idea. "Are You the One" played on piano would sound great I think.

I haven't recorded any yet, but I don't think it'll be very difficult to get them done. I'll start with the first two requests, "Are you the one", "What you give, you get back" and possibly Maybe I, Maybe you. I don't read music, so I won't be able to give you notes, though.... Sorry.

As you know, the Scorpions make great ballads (by order of preference):

-Always Somewhere (the verse arpeggio on piano would be fresh! )
-A Moment in a Million Years (this is great stuff)
-Holiday (the short version -verse only- would be nice)
-Born to touch your feelings
-When The Smoke Is Going Down

Please check them out if you haven't done so already and feel free to check other rocker songs. These will pair with your piano I think.

There are also challenging songs to be played on piano, but quite interesting:
-Walking On The Edge
-Destin

What do you think of them - are these good candidates?
What are your favorite Scorps' songs?
Will you improvise on them?

Great idea, Jacob !.It's a pitty you cannot put THEIR songs into notes...
I wished u could also make a video of u playing... to see ur finger's work for to copy ur way of performance.
Me could never do it without notes.

and some others. Now, I have no idea how to play any of them, but I think I can get the hang of it really fast.

I will release each as I go so I can hear suggestions and feedback. I'm gonna' try and get one released within a couple of days. Although I wanted to start with suggestions first, I want to play one I'm a little more familiar with so you guys can know how I play and that I'm not just some random fellow claiming to be a pianist, lol.

Wow, why didnt i sign in the forum sooner ? A greatly wonderful idea. But it really takes time to work out a limited number of the songs. I love all of them.

You'll be happy to know that Hey You is well on it's way to being done. I'm learning it as I go, but at this rate it'll definitely be online by today. I'm putting aside all other things I have to do today until I finish this!... haha



EDIT: Since the song repeats the basic melody over and over, I'm almost finished with it! I'm kind of happy with how it's turning out. It shall be uploaded in MP3 format for all of you to hear shortly


Edit again: I just need to finish the solo and it's done. The solo is really hard...!

Thank you for your comments / kind words. Hmm, yeah, I wasn't sure if I should make it close to the original or make it different. Next time I will try not to make it sound so close to the original.
