Vov, ur review was absolutely perfect and I didn't get tired to read it all...Lucky u that checked ur train ticket Great that u fans from the forum from lots of countries meet together. Great that u, Vov, made ur dream come true and met Uli (I saw ur soooo happy face on the photo with him).

I've already been lucky enough to listen to the recording of that show and it's AMAZING! Damn, Klaus still sings so great! I was really impressed....especially after damn last perfomance of woc and rylah for some event (don't remember now)

Well here I am .........................H U R R I C A N E !!!!!!!!
It took me a little time but here I go now. Well my trip this time was a little longer than the others. I stopped in Munich one day, had my quantity of beer in OKTOBERFEST then at 6 o'clock of friday morning ( maybe my wife and friends wanted to kill me for that ) I left Munich and took direction ESSEN it was my destination at 12 o'clock cause some great people were waiting for the meeting ....As I arrived in the hotel An der Gruga, it was 300 m from Gruga Halle I took a shower and then called Hans, he told me hey we are here listen ...and some voices greeted me at the phone So I understood that this event were starting the best way

After two minutes I was at the venue and I saw Hans, Ron Vladimir, Kristof, Delphine and two Pretty English Dolls As long as I am a gentleman I met them for first but I must say that there were only great people there. We took some pics with each-other and were talking about everything. But I was very hungry because all the trip from Munich ( 636 km ) I didn't stop wanting to be there as early as it was possible, so me and my friends went to eat something nearby there and as you can imagine, I ate in 15-20 minutes ( Not usual in Italy, we like slow food ) Anyway it was around 16 o' clock when I stayed definitely at the venue. I saw David after a while and Wolfgang as well just had a short talk with him and at 18 o'clock I was lucky enough to go in the Meet & Greet. It was a room with a long table with 5 seats in front of us after few minutes the band entered this room and started to sign and talk with us for 30 minutes or so. it was amazing to live this moment

At that point we were already in the venue so the first row was empty so I could chose the best point where to take pics. It was but I should have killed Alex for having them That was the best position and he was always in my line, you will see him or his arms and cameras at least, in many of my pics.
The support act was really very nice as they gave us some cool moments with their punky style. Time was running by and the moment I was waiting for was near Lights off and the imminent voice of Hurricane 2000 owned the venue. SCORPIONS were welcomed the best way from us. Then Hour 1 with many visual effects firework and flames and lights just amazing, now time for some classics Loving you . Is there anybody there......Make It Real....The zoo.
Finally it's time for the Maestro to come on stage so .Pictured Life, Bacstage Queen .....We'll Burn The Sky ( I have to say that was one of the highlights of the show ) ....then again Robot Man....All of them under Uli's lead guitar gave the best of them one more time some classics just like Send Me An Angel and Holiday
Then it was the turn of THE AXEMAN, I must say Michael Schenker was absolutely in the mood, so here it comes LOVEDRIVE tribute the best way they could with COAST TO COAST, LOVEDRIVE, AN-NA-NA-NA-NA-THER PIECE OF MEAAAAT. What to say about the improvisation of MATTHIAS and MICHAEL .....wunderbar !!!!!!!!!
After it DOCTOR - DOCTOR JUST BLOWED OUR MINDS AWAY !!!!!
then a turn back at the classics so TEASE ME PLEASE ME and 3 2 1
Now it's time for another attack : JAMES KOTTAK ATTACK-------AAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG
After that ROCK ' N ' ROLL continued with BLACK - OUT and BIG CITY NIGHTS and it is time for a break now. see you soon !!!!!!

Btw there were some video cameras in front of the stage which filmed the whole show. If I remember well there was a logo on the cameras "Bayern radio". Does anyone know if they will show the whole show on TV??? It would be even better to have a video from this show!![/b][/color]

do you or someone else a photo of this logo? I'm asking because a lot of TV and / or radio stations have at least a similar name. If I knew the right name, I could try to find something out.

But that's somehow strange, Essen isn't in Bayern (=Bavaria). For Essen I would have expected something like WDR. Ok, we'll see if someone knows more.

Thanks Inna for your comment on my review! I'm happy that you enjoyed the recording of the show. Though it's a big difference between the recording and presence there live!

Травку не курил. я не по этим делам, если честно. Меня все спрашивают и удивляются, как это так?!))) Хотя в кофешопы ради интереса заходил. А вообще там запах травы по всему городу. Многие даже на улице идут с косяками. Хотя разрешено курить только в кофешопах.

Hans, I can't be sure. Maybe I'm wrong but I still think it was the logo of Bayern radio. Maybe Rainbow who stood near me can remember it?! As for me I don't have a photo of the camera.
But I must tell you that it's not a problem if that TV isn't from Essen region. For example last year's Russian tour of Scorps began at St. Petersburg and there was a German TV filming special report about it. So everything is possible.
Maybe Wolfgang knows more?!

Back again ! Well now it's time for some encores so STILL LOVING YOU and WIND OF CHANGE just to take a breath before asking to the Maestro and Metal Mickey to turn on the stage again for playing LONG TALL SALLY !!!!!!! I was like hypnotized, what else could we expect ??? Right now I am comparing this gig with another gig they had in Gruga Halle ( I have a bootleg from Gruga Halle 26/04/1975 ) and they played there Long Tall Sally and Robot Man.....Better this time definitely
Sure they ROCKED THE VENUE LIKE A HURRICANE before leaving That was the end of the show, during it Klaus asked for the many flags people had, just like to Ron, Renata and many others. It was a great setlist, the few times I looked around the audience I saw all people singing and shaking their heads, having fun !!!!
Amazing performance !!!

At the end of the show I stayed with Ron and Kristof, Ronnie thank you for the beer And later went to the hotel where the band and Kristof stayed. There were already other fans there, as usually and I have to say just one thing : There were many Rockstars there, but one of them was shining more than the others MASTER of the CASTERS, Mr Matthias JABS
He spend all his dinner time with his fans. Now you tell me wasn't that A NIGHT TO REMEMBER ?
Sure Rudy and Klaus came out and spend many time with the fans and it was a great time for me. At 2 : 30 I left the hotel of the Stars and went to mine, sleep was sooo needed
I have taken many pictures and they will follow

I just want to thank all the people I met there for their company . RON, HANS, VLADIMIR , KRISTOF, SALVATORE, TWO PRETTY DOLLS ( BEAN & TEEN ), RENATA AND HER HUSBAND JURGEN, and all the others that I am for sure forgetting. It was a great time guys let's do it again, sure under the best ever soundtrack we will ever have SCORPIONS LIVE MUSIC

What reviews, what photos, what a time to remember!! Thanks to all of you. Not since 2 years ago has there been so many reviews and pictures!! I just wish the rest of us were able to get the USB stick!! Am I missing sthg, I see some of you are able to listen to it and wasn't at the show.

Elton your review is amazing too!! It's funny, I have called Matthias Master of the Mastercaster for 2 years now!! ha! I am so glad you had a fantastic time with him and that he spent so much of his time with you all.

Hell this was not just a night to remember, this was A YEAR TO REMEMBER!!

Thank you so much for your photos!! It must have been a GREAT MOMENT for you to be with Klaus and Uli - I'm glad you got this chance after having travelled sooo far! I haven't read the logo on the camera in front of us (Bavaria or another channel) - what a pity. The only thing I know about is the "www.derwesten.de" link: remember - I asked the photographer in front of us. Anyway: The memories in our hearts will always be there - nobody can take them away!! By the way Vladimir,if i knewn that Uli still was taking to the fans ,i should stay a little bit longer,i stayed at the lobby until 3.15am,only 15 mim later,Klaus ,Rudolf or Matthias still walked around?i'm wondered when they we're sleeping,sure a lot longer that us !The lobby was very empty and quit the next morning!

I was staying also at the hotel,just booked it a few weeks earlier,totally didn't got the idea that they should stay there also!Just when we left the hotel to go to the venue,i was talking to someone who was wearing a MJ guitars t-shirt,i was asking if they don't stay there,he told yes,they should come downstairs by 5 min,and indeed Matthias arrived first.It was so cool staying at the same hotel,hope i can do it more!
