Avatar problems

Unread postby AZRanchGal » August 25th, 2009, 5:20 am

O.K. So I'm feelin' like a techtard, here. I just signed up & want to manage my account. I want to add an avatar. Everybody's got one, and I've got some great ones right here in my computer. The trouble is, when I upload from my own computer, it says the pixels (or some techie word) are too big, or too many, or something. What can I do? My avatar works fine on myspace and facebook. Why not here? ~Thanks in advance!

Hi :)

you should reduce the pixels till 180x180 and it should be more than 90x90, if it doesn't fit to it, the system just refuse an avatar :)

Thank you so much, Ruta. How do I reduce the pixels? I don't know much about computers at all! Sorry. DUH!

It depends what program do you use for watching pictures. For example, I use Preview and there is one function where I can adjust size, it's very simple :)

or just if you want you can send me your picture and I will deal with it  rock_654@hotmail.com

I have NO idea even what program I have for watching pictures... I guess I should just stick to runnin' cattle and training my horse... What a wonderfully generous offer you give me!! You are TOO kind. Thank you so very much. I will attempt to send you my choice profile pic right now. The good looking one in the picture is "Slim" the BEST roping horse EVER!! He's called Slim because he whinnies like Slim Whitman, the yodler! LOL!!

But it suits for simple pics.

Well, it's not a very simple pic and I've never used the paint program. My horse in the picture is an American Paint (registered APHA~Lasan's Painted Bill) and his coat is VERY complicated. He looks like Hidalgo and there's a lot (too much) background junk. Ruta is working on it, but I'm not sure if it has come up, yet. Ruta is my HERO for doing this for me!! Y'all are so very nice here. Thanks bunches!!

Photobucket Tracy, for next time you may want to change your avatar. You need someone to tell you HOW to do it yourself so you can do it next time. kay? Once you do it, it's a cinch to do it again and again. All of us have changed our avatars tons of times, according to what we feel at the moment. So..... Good wishes.
