It was forbidden to take pictures, even with the mobile phone, the security guys were not friendly on this subject

hello everybody, I'm from Italy and I moved to Juan Les Pins just to see SCORPIONS ROCKIN' LIKE HURRICANES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm searching for the girl who raised the banner "Scorpions Humanity Hour" during the show, because I've taken a nice picture of her and I would like to let her know. Here's the pic at high res 1280x960, hosted on Imageshack:

Yes, I'had a press pass

David, can you explain how you got a press pass? Do you work for a medium that gave you that opportunity? I am trying to get information for next year to take professional photos of the shows on behalf of our North American website, scorpsnews.com. Thank you.

Cristy, I think to get cameraman pass or press pass requires you to belong to a magazine company or newspaper company or you have to be a professional cameraman so that you can post them in the magazines or newspapers or their own sites.
And even these professional cameraman often need to leave the place about 15 or 20 minutes after the show is started. Not all the time, but it depends on the venue policy.
I think you need to get a permission from the management office of the Scorpions or direct permission from the band members.
I'm not sure 100%, but that is my guess from my experiences.

So, it was alomst impossible to take pix from the 5 first rows. Security guys had lamp and put the light on your camera's lens each time they saw someone take a pix

It was the 2nd time I saw that in France, in Toulouse 2007 it was the same but it was allow with mobile phone, in Juan even the mobile was forbiden

Toshiko is correct, you must work for a magazine not a website. Also to take as you say "professional" photos you must be a professional photographer. A point and zoom digital is not considered a PRO camera...unless of course it's an SLR. You'd need a pro camera, pro lenses and usually you're allowed in the photo pit for the first 3 songs only.

Well the camera being a DSLR with a pro lens is a given. Also, one does not necessarily need to work for a magazine nor be a professional photographer to get a press pass I am finding out. But thanks anyway Kristy, you do know alot I admit. Thx Toshiko, you are so awesome.
I have no worries, next year will be mighty awesome no matter if I get the press pass or not. Plans...so many plans!!!

Yes, we are allow to take pix during 3 first songs and sometimes the last one. It's not very difficult to have a press pass.
