"How we managed to stand there"?? Every time that I felt I couldn't breathe anymore, I pressed my lips together and thought that NO, I will stay for SCORPIONS. And it was really worth it!!!!

Yes of course when you're in the first rows, you're very close to the amplifiers, so that you can't listen to the songs very clearly. But like fili mou has said.."if you want to hear a studio performance, stay at home and listen to the CDs!"

No, that was in her back. So the security guy lifted her with the back toward the stage.that's why she couldn't really see Matthias when that happened.

hi everyone, finally i've some minutes to read the forum.....i've very busy in last days, and i'll be in next days......so for "my fans" here you'll have to wait a bit

just few words.....never been in a Scorpions show where there were so many fans!!!!!!And the sight of the stadium full it's been so exiting!!!!!

It's a pity that my fantastic holiday's been f*** up by the return trip in Italy........

Michael's guitar also didn't really stand up. There were some songs where I could hear Klaus well, and some other where I couldn't. But that's ok, after all you can't really hear well in the first rows. My father who was among the seated ones, told me that he couldn't really hear the guitars, apart from Matthias, while Klaus' voice was really stunning, like crystal. It depends on where one is.
I don't agree with you, _Matthias_, when it comes to the age of the crowd. At least in the front rows, 90% of the people were either teenagers or young adults.

Sound depends ,because we were in different positions, but i compare with concerts from the past .Every concert in Karaiskaki (from 2005 ) i watched it from the same spot (in the arena) . Michael's sound was so clean and loud you could hear every single note he played.Also all the instruments sounded excellent. The group in general sounded great and performed in a high level,including Klaus.I didn't say that Klaus permormance in vocals was bad,but the sound from the speakers came out a bit of distorted.Klaus sounded excellent in the 1st Scorpio festival (2007) even better from a scorpions cd.
I walked in the arena a couple of times before the concert and i had a complete look.I checked ppl in seats as well. Comparing with concerts of the past (like lycabettus and 2005,2007) there wasn't a core of "enthousiast rock teenagers". Also you can't compare this audience with the audience of 2005.
Anyway ,this concert had everything else i wanted as a fan : all the members of the group,a great show, a great setlist and 40.000 ppl.
In conclusion ,Scorpions should move on to the next step : Olympic Stadium...Karaiskaki Stadium is too small for them .

Well time for my review. As an old fan and a pro musician and guitar player I can say that the scoprs were better than usual, Uli was amazing as always (One of the 3 best shredders ever), michael is getting better (no way to see him like the70's or the early 90's when he really played accurately and technically) and the regular scorps (especially matthias) were in top form.Klaus' voice is weak and without low frequencies and rudi's playing is choppy but they can put up a show.The show was something like a kiss rip off (3 video walls , confetti , pyro and rising flames, hot girls during tease me please me). On the other side the place was overcrowded by fans who knew nothing about the band's history: most of them were fans of the greek folk singer (come on, we wanted MSG!!! we see this guy for less than 5 euros 35 years now) , or fans of the pop ballads like sly or woc.Those youngers thought I'm an allien when I shouted out loud the UFO lyrics during doctor doctor (come on...it's UFO you f*****s!!!!!!!) and during the stuff played from the 70's they didn't even know who uli roth is. The issue presented above is something usual here, as no metal fan count on scorpions anymore and this historical band is faced like those lousy pop rock trash cans. In conclusion a good show with the worst audience.What's next? back street boys openning for maiden?
