A---hem...guess where I am?

Yep, we are in Athens, me and Mad Dog.

Last night, we went to Hard Rock Cafe Athens and met Mr. Herman Rarebell. We also met Edurock, Lenita, Nikos, Antonis, and Arista. It was a wonderful party, free for all, put together by the Greek Fan Club. From 10:30 PM, the party started on the third floor of the Hard Rock. Nikos was the excellent D.J. with excellent Scorpions' music playing as Mr. Rarebell signed things and greeted the fans. Antonis and Arista did an excellent job of organizing and running everything.

We had a quick look at the stadium today, where the concert will be held tomorrow night. And we had a one-day tour of Athens with a taxi driver. The Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Olympic Stadium, the changing of the guard, the Socrates Balcony, and so on. It's our first time here, and it has been wonderful. Just the temperature is a littttttle high...

Toshiko!!! I cannot believe it, you are there!!! OMGosh!! I just talked to Kate and she is making posters for the show tomorrow. She didn't tell me you were there!!!! I am so crying!! We had planned for me to be there since last year (even BEFORE there was talk of the guys being there) and it just couldn't happen. But I am also crying out of happiness for all my friends who will be there to see a historic show!! And now you and Rolf!!! sigh....rock your asses off and rock the boys too!! Do they know ur there? They are going to freak to see you two!! AAAHHHH I am so stoked and getting more stoked by the minute!! Have a great time girl!!
Oh yeah, I heard the Greek fans are not so forgiving like here in America. They are brutal when there is Gen Admin. So be sure to be safe and protected by Rolf, but get there early so you can be in front row with my girls!!! I hear you have to get there hours before!! Be careful hun!!

BRAT!! It's not easy to call from Europe to America, so I feel so very lucky and honored that I will get to be there thru her phone!!
She also said that all the girls are going to scream my name, so that at least my name will go out into the venue and drift along with the smoke!!! WOW!!!

I have notes alllll over my apartment reminding me of the phone call at 2pm my time!! I can't sleep!! I am not going to believe that I will be hearing the boys over the phone. Too bad I can't SEE them too!!

Well, I was hoping for a shoutout from our favorite lead guitar player, but he is silent. Maybe very busy getting ready for another show that will knock Greek's socks off. Plus it's going to be huge and maybe bigger than Wacken!!!??? So I forgive him!!
I am so nervous for when I call Kate today when the boys will be on stage!! It's crazy that my stomach is in knots!! She was going to call me, but I told her I would call instead. That way she won't have to try to remember to do that during the show!! I wonder what song they are going to be playing at 11pm?? I emailed MJ to tell him that when he sees Kate raise her phone at that time, to wave or sthg. I know I am so silly!! We shall see if he does, eh? I am so excited, it's almost like it's ME that is there!! I hope that the boys have worked out their sound probs and make it truly a night to remember for all of them!!
