I am going to cry!! I am so glad they are on tour again and Klaus is singing so unbelievably, as always!! Everyone is looking fine and hot and gorgeous. I love my Scorps!!
One thing I am not happy about tho, is how they are starting out again; back before Hour1! Why? I am sad cuz Hour 1 kicked major ass on the opener!!!

The set was short, because Scorpions weren't a main star of this event - there was Kylie MInogue plaing after them. (And I really don't know why she - she's not connected in any way with the anniversary that was celebrated... And yeah, I know - for money, for people, but for me inviting Kylie was pointless.)

German rock legends the SCORPIONS took part in the concert titled It Started In Poland, which took place in Gda?sk shipyard on June 4th to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the first free elections in Eastern Europe.

Gda?sk Shipyard is a large Polish shipyard, located in the city of Gda?sk. The yard gained international fame when Solidarity (Solidarno??) was founded there in September 1980. In 1980 Gda?sk was the arena for events that changed the face of the world. A strike by 17,000 ship builders saw Solidarity (Solidarno??), led by shipyard electrician Lech Wa??sa, recognised as the first non-communist trade union in the then Soviet Eastern Bloc. The move was one of the first successful steps that led to the eventual collapse of communism, across Eastern Europe. In Poland on 4th June, 1989 the first free elections to Parliament were held in the whole communist world which marked the begining of the end of communist rule in Eastern Europe. Later that year in November the Berlin Wall came down.

[b]Ok, I'm here to rock you like a hurricane!! The show was amazing!! But I will start from the very beginning

I was going to Gdansk with my friend Darius, he's not a fan of the Scorpions but I didn't want to go alone.. We had to be in Gdansk on the 4th around midday but our bus to Warsaw was late, so we were late for the train to Gdansk for half an hour (we already had tickets for it). I was almost in panic because another train had to be in 2 hours and it meant that we would be in Gdansk too late. But.. we went to the bus station to ask for a bus and the information lady said: "yes, it leaves in 4 min, you have to hurry up!" So, adventures begin!

We arrived at the hotel Exploris around 2, then met Pablo and all the other Polish fans. Marta came at 3 (we stayed at the same room) and then we left to the venue. Tram and bus tickets were for free because we had tickets to the show.

Almost all the Polish fans had tickets to A sector and I had to B, so I was a bit upset because I wanted to be with all of them. So we went to B sector and guess what... When I bought tickets, there was shown in the plan that B sector is near the stage on the left side (so, in front of Matthias) but when we came in we saw that sectors are changed and instead of B sector there's VIP sector, so it means that I have to be very far from the stage. I was almost desperate but then I saw Pablo, he was in that VIP sector. He saw that me and many other fans from Polish fan club are standing in another sector. So, he went to security and had a long long talk and then they started to let people one after another to that VIP sector. I was lucky enough to get to that sector because after a while security changed there mind and stopped doing that. But here I am, THE 1ST ROW!! THANK YOU PABLO VERY VERY MUCH! If not you, I would have been standing far far away.

We were at the venue at 5 and the show started at 7, and Scorps started to play at 9.45, so oh boy... so long to wait... I was standing together with Tomiak (I hope I wrote the name correctly), the chief of Polish fan club, he's very nice guy! He translated me a lot from Polish to English because I didn't understand almost anything.

Ok, let's the show begin.. there were to representers, they announced every band that is going to come up on the stage. Firstly, there were 4 Polish bands. Every played 30 min: Lombard, Tomek Lipinski & Tilt, Kombii and Kora. Tomiak said that they were very popular during those times when Solidarnost began. Between every band playing there were documentary films being showed while staff where changing stage setup. The Polish bands were pretty good (except that they were singing only in Polish and I couldn't understand anything ) and I saw that Polish people like them because they were singing along all the time.

Kora finished to play at 9.15, and then representers invited Lech Wałęsa (The President of Poland and leader of Solidarnost) and 4 other men who were 1st to make a protest action 20 years ago. There was made "Soviet Republic wall" from Domino bricks and Lech Wałęsa went to pull it down. It looked amazing! And during pulling down representers said every country's name who was in Soviet union (it was also written on the bricks).

When they left representers said that in 8 min SCORPIONS will be playing! After many applause there was silence among people. And those minutes were the longest minutes in my life. we've been waiting for them 5 hours and then I felt that it will finish soon. But on the other hand I felt so amazing, I was smiling all the time because that's what I was waiting for and came for to Gdansk! AND HERE THEY ARE! The intro was the same as in Wacken show and then they started to play Coming home! I won't type the setlist because you already know it. I was really surprised they played Is there anybody there. Talking about The Zoo the beginning was a bit different, there was longer introduction and I don't know why. Maybe they wanted to that but at the very beginning I though there might be technical issues... I looooooooved Coast to Coast!!!! After playing the guitar Klaus kisses the plec and threw it to the people. After the song Pawel raised his guitar and threw it down! I was like what??? actually, he was very very active during the show!!! You could see him being very happy because he played in his own country. So, you know that there was only 321 from HH1... I don't remember during which song (perhaps BBRW) Matthias came to the edge of the stage and started walking parallelly with it but there was something on the ground and he stumbled a bit but everything was fine. At the end of Send me and angel Pawel came to play together with Matthias and them Matthias accidentally bumped his guitar to Pawel's head but thanks God everything was ok again. And actually, they looked a bit absent all the show and I don't know why...

After they went to the backstage after Big city nights and before coming again to play WOC and RYLAH I thought what's happened to the audience because it was way too calm!!! So, we all started to shout Scooorpions and clap hands that just to turn the people on!! Everyone was singing WOC and Hurricane along with Klaus, it was sooo amazing!

Tomiak had a flad from Polish fanclub, there was written: Poland Scorpions 2009 (something like that) and I had a flad with the text "Thank you! FOS". When Matthias saw it he started to smile immediatelly! And after going backstage after both Big city nights and Hurricane he looked at me, waved with hand good bye and just then left! Thank you Matthias!! Klaus and Pawel also recognized me. They were smiling all the time! And I have James drumstick (Tomiak cought it and gave to me, thank you!!) I have now idea how James manages not to hurt his fingers because drumtick is hit at the very bottom! But, well, he's a professional!

There was possible to buy Scorpions merchandise but I didn't have any cash at that time because I have to buy extra bus ticket...

Anyway, the weather was perfect!! There was a bit raining around 5 but then the sun was shining all the time.
There were 70 000 tickets sold of 100 000 possible.

And yes... I still don't get why Kylie and not Scorpions was the headliner???? Yes, she played for the 1st time in Poland, she's superstar but their music styles are so different and soooo many people left just after Scorpions!!!! Just imagine you rock at the superb show with Scorpions and then comes Kylie and starts to play pop!

The funniest thing is that even Polish TV broadcasted only Scorpions show, not Kylie Martin (Polish fan) said that someone recorded it, so we'll be able to see

After Scorps show we went back to our hotel to have an afterparty... And you know... mixing Polish vodka and Lithuanian strong herbal drink isn't good at all.... We had a long Polish-Lithuanian learning lesson, it was very funny
I know that guys stayed in Sopot, and this time I didn't meet them but Renata and Magda did, so they will write more BTW, it was nice too meet you both!!!

We had a bus back to Warsaw at 11 am on the 5th. I went straight to Hard Rock Cafe and Metal shop to search for Scorpions stuff but there was nothing there. So I bought some HR stuff. We started to talk with the guy who works in Hard Rock Cafe shop, he said he's also a fan of the Scorpions but he didn't know that they are playing, so I'm sorry I made him sad...NOT! After having a dinner at HR we went to the bus station and went back to Vilnius.

Short executive summary:
- 33 hours on the road;
- Only 21 hour spent in Gdansk (I can't even say that I was there because I didn't see anything in the town, except Shipyard.
- Amazing show (it's a new and unrepeatable experience every time, now it's sad that it's finished )
- Trip back home listening to Scorps songs
- Wonderful met people. I want to say a huge thank you once again to Pablo! It's always nice to meet him. And of course, I didn't forget Marta! You rock girl!!! It was extra extra extra amazing to meet you! You are very nice, warm and cool person being! Next time in Vilnius, huh?
- 3 sleepless days and nights (I will go to sleep now because I feel dead).
- Physical tiredness but inside there are so many good emotions!! I want to say once again that meeting other fans is a huge part of Scorpions!! I LOOOVE THIS BAND!!!!
- As Tomiak said: There might be increases and declines in music but love for the band is always the same!!

I'm sorry for very long review but I just wanted to share everything with you! I guess I forgot a lot but I will add later.
