Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are few min and I do have tickets!!!!!!!!! :mrgreen:

It's near Dessau, couldn't be more perfect!

oh yes, great. And the best: My daughter won't have to buy a ticket, because kids up to 12 years are free

But the bands that open the concert :?:

The festival is called 'Rock am Denkmal', but when you look at the openers it's more a pebble.

Na, I don't mind, at least it isn't Andrea Berg

Somehow I don't understand. This village is in the middle of nowhere! In the middle of the prairie, pampa or tundra or however you would like to call it. If I wouldn't have a car, I wouldn't know how to get there easily.

But Ruta, Hans LIVES in Hamburg. He knows where it's at. I think he was voicing more the confusion of why Scorps would play there, maybe? cuz it's so isolated and hard to get to.
I tell ya, this is confusing in itself that it seems that our guys are hopscotching all over this area of Europe AND over to Portugal, like a tornado!! :shock:

Yes it is in the middle of nowhere but its better than no concert in Germany.
I read something that the place should be a historical place of the german history.
But I don't know why, what happened there?

Hello everyone,

no, this village isn't near Gustrow. That's a complete different region.

I think; I know why the Scorpions play there. How I found out, in Hötensleben is a relict of the former german - german border facilities, the so called 'Antifaschistischen Schutzwall'. That wasn't a nice place, I don't know if you know something like that. With mines and machine guns and so on. B.t.w. Denkmal means here 'historical monument'.

And every year they make a concert to remind you to the times when everything changed. This year it is 20 years ago. I think that I don't have to mention that the Scorpions are - in mind - connected with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the german reunification. First their appearance at the moscow peace festival, when the security of the red army melted with the fans (they reported about that in german TV!) and then wind of change. Here in germany we call it the hymn of the fall of the Berlin wall.
Hötensleben is a small village with only 2000 and some habitants. O. k. this sounds like Wacken, but take a look at the venue: Go to the link in the 'tourdates section' then click on 'Das Openair' and then 'Schnappschüsse'.
I think it's the first time they have a big act like the Scorpions. Na, why should I complain? The Scorps will rock the house, even on a small stage!

That's amazing, Hans. Thank you for the explanation of the origin and the why Scorps are playing there. Man, they just keep getting better and better in my eyes, if that's possible!! :shock:

yes ive been there of corse there is the history of my homecountry and only from my hometown 220 km there is possibilty to meet everyone from german scorpions-family greetings

I think this will be a nice evening. The venue has one big advantage: Even if you are standing in the back, you can see the whole stage.
And if they play 'Priscilla' the surprise for my son will be perfect.

Hi Gabi, this was only a little hint to the behaviour of some female fans when they see a typical boy band. It's a real pity, I have an idea how to continue with this little joke, but only germans would understand it.

Hi Cristy, not yet. But I guess or it could be they make something special at this day because ot the historical relevance. But the programme is weird. It reminds me a bit of the former GDR TV Show 'ein Kessel Buntes' (it means a little bit of everything).
It begins with a theatre act, then
[*] a comedy group
[*] a woman who sings to poems
[*] another german singer, I never heard of
[*] a Boy Band

and finally our Scorps
