I have a very exciting announcement: Becuz I reported the loss/theft of my camera equipment to the police and have a case # and report, the company I was still paying for the JVC video digicam have reduced my final 5 payments to 2!!!! WOOHOOO!!
And I will be getting at least my digital camera replaced with this!!

Most of you know by now that my cameras were returned to the police. woohooo But in that time, I got another camera!!! This one and I love it!!! It is a slight upgrade. I feel until I learn more about the concepts of camera operation and photography, that the SLRs can wait. This is my Christmas gift to myself.

Thx so much Yuliya dearheart!! Yes our Christmas in the store sales start even before Halloween! But the norm for the everyday person to start decorating is after Thanksgiving. Also, the businesses on the outside decorate after then too. I will be going Christmas lights looking and take pix of that to add to my album.
I am hoping to start some kind of business and become semi pro then pro. I am working on doing venues so that I can hopefully do rock shows. And yes I feel I am good enuf esp if given the right camera for the job. I know I will need to upgrade to an SLR by the end of 2009. I want to go to school to learn a combination of web and graphic design and photography!!

Ok I finally broke down and bought my first SLR. Actually it's an SLR Digital; Nikon D60 to be exact with a 18-55 mm lens. I bought it and sent the other automatic digital back cuz my nephew told me on Christmas Eve that if I am going to be serious about my photography and make it a business that I had better invest in an SLR now and not later and start to learn the huuuuge difference in that and the point and shoot.
WOW is it ever different and not so much fun right now due to learning a whole new animal so to speak. Sooooo with that said, I will take some photos and see what happens.

Oh good Sherry, thx. I was hoping that I was buying a decent first timer SLR.
So I went aroud and took some pix, and I think I will download them in the next day or so. But right now, I am tired, gotta lie down for awhile. heheheheh Feeling so much better, but have had a running fever of 102 degrees and sick as a dog for over a week, so.....
Biggest prob and obstacle. The zoom is not the same as on point and shoots, so you have to invest in lenses to get the zoom; which cost as much as the camera itself!!!

Very true! I have 4 different lenses for my Canon SLR. It's worth it though! Each lense serves a purpose!

Is that why the pros are seen carrying around 4 diff cameras? So instead of fighting to quickly change the lens, they just grab the right camera? Oh brother. I am in for a lot of work.
I got some kids playing at the playground today and the sunset, which seems to be my specialty. And of course my cats! Always my cats!!! hahaha

my husband got me a new camera (canon rebel xs...) i had plans to take professional photography classes and photo editing with photo shop for photographers... i had taken some good pictures and i am really exited about learning!!!!

at the web page of www.lynda.com any one can learn photo shop for photographers, cs3 or cs4. is not a free web page there is an annual fee of 350.00 us but there you can take on line classes for everything and anything.

I wish I could take pictures. I can't figure out how to take of myself. I still have photo's from 2003.
And I can say the picture quality is not so good. I am blurry and it looks like my make up was smeared to my face. I did not take the pictures a friend did. I try in photo shop to fix it but it's not working too well..I still look blurry. This why I don't post pictures because if I did you have a hard time seeing my face.
It's cool you take pictures. Myself I can't even get the camera to work. This also includes a cam corder I could not figure it out. I'm dumb.

I don't know if you heard this or not but due to the economy Circut City is closing a lot of their stores. One of the stores they are closing is here in my city, not far from you. They had an ad in yesterdays paper that they are going to be slashing prices for their going out of business sale. You may be able to get another lens for your Nikon camera at a great discounted price. I'll be looking into the discounted Canon Lenses too.
