Well less than 24 hours to the T&T concert, I managed to get to the airport and get some phone video, plus to greet the members and shake their hands, wishing them luck and to give us everything they got! I know they would be tired but they still tried to accommodate everyone that was there, so that's a huge level of respect right there!

Scorpions you rock!!! See ya'll tomorrow!!!

Well I heard it on the radio station officially associated with the concert, they had cut their program to let one of their guys call on their cell phone to let ppl know that they had just landed, so they would be back for an interview in about 15 minutes....and I was about 10 mins away from the airport at the time. :D

It was purely a chance occurrence that allowed me to get to meet them in person...

In other places they may not do that, but here that's a HUGE thing to note, plus now we know that the concert is DEFINITELY ON!!!

I'll try to give a review for sure, dunno if it'll be pics or video I'll be taking, don't want to walk with both items for the concert, plus I dunno what restrictions would be in place for this event....so I hope that they allow my video camera in.

Well I'll most likely give a full review, which includes the opening act (local rock/roots band called Orange Sky, great in their own unique style, but may not be for everyone), but I will try to keep it together for when the stars step on stage.

So it might be a very long review, or VERY short. :P

Right now I dunno if I can sleep, just psyched beyond life now after getting to meet them...

Hi SPK,

I love this kind of instantatly relayed information.
Do it more for us, please.

So the Scorpions are now in Trinidad and Tobago!

I hope you will find the interview information somewhere, too.
Don't we so rely on you or what?

Japan time is ahead of your place so it is already September 23 and it is 13:05pm.
So I have to wait to hear your review till tomorrow, I guess.

Have a great time with the Scorpions! 8)

Well I do what I can, too bad my phone video capabilities suck, otherwise I would have uploaded it into YT already, and if I had known about it earlier I would have walked with my video camera :( . The tickets were a little pricey (almost 1/4 of my monthly salary), but I don't care if I had to shell it out for them!

But it's all good anyway.

One thing I found that was odd though, when it was time for them to depart, Klaus insisted on having no bodyguards in his vehicle...is that normal of him?

Yeah I know you're ahead of us in Japan time (which I'm dying to visit sometime, have a huge fascination with your country), by the time I would be able to put up any type of review, would most likely be sometime Wednesday side (my local time that is), whenever I manage to wake up....

Hi SPK,

I've seen Mr. Meine rides on car by himself or maybe with his tourmanager.
I heard he likes to be private as much as possible.

I wish Japan can move wherever I want to go.
I hope you will be able to visit here someday and see a lot of historical temples and shrines.
There is Ninja school, too if you want to.

Anyway...
It is so exciting to hear from you so please have a great time and tell us all about the show after you get back! 8)

Well, I'm sure all the band memers and crew are extremely tired by now so they must be sleeping like the dead.

SPK, how many times have you seen Scorps? One thing I am concerned about is if you haven't seen them at all or just a couple times, don't worry so much on the pictures or vids. Be very selective, cuz you will lose so much of the show if you concentrate on filming it!!! My first show? I was so concerned taking pix that I realized at the end of the show that I missed the whole experience of rawkin out with the band I have loved for so many years and I was sick and close to tears!! My second show was better cuz I left the camera in the hotel room!!! Just an FYI and warning, kay? So with that said, please please have the best time and memory of your life and we cannot wait til we hear your experience. :P

Well this is my first time getting ANY really majour bands of their level coming to Trinidad, so I'm more than a little stoked at getting to see them...but I am aware of what you're talking about, and unlike most other places, I have my doubts as to whether we'll have them here in T&T again, so I will be quite selective in taking videos and whatnot...enjoy it as much as I can, while I can.

Hi SPK,

Do not forget extra battery and memory cards for your camera and maybe better to bring extra camera and hide it in your somewhere in case the security take your camera away.

lol...well I'd only be able to carry the video camera, which is more than capable in itself (7 hours hard disk recording space, 40X optical zoom, with a 10 hour extended battery)...I really hope they don't seize it though.

Well at least you all have a much better chance of seeing them again than compared to someplace like here....*packs drinks for pre-show entertainment*.

Thanks, god I'm so excited right now, I'm blasting out their music at home here, supposed to leave here in about 4 hours to head down to the concert site, so I just can't wait! Watching their live performances just amp up the excitement even more, knowing how much better they sound in person compared to a recording!

I have a feeling that the opening act with perform with Scorpions for "Is There Anybody there?", because the opening act has a cover of that song on their latest album....

OH, dear SPK! I am saying the same things as Cristy : Live your moment! Choose one or two songs from before which you really want to record. And for the rest , just suck it in and relax and dance!!!! And rise your hands up high and sing aloud!!! :D I wish you the most beautiful moment of your life!! Muah!
