Hello Adriana,

Welcome to the forum......I am 36 but....age doesn't matter here. The Scorps have the capacity to capture fans of all ages so there is something to be said for that....they kept their long time fans and have gained more along the way to the present time. The fact that there are fans on the forum from different backgrounds, ages, etc. is the thing that I like....it can only be more interesting...so there....enjoy it and have some fun with us!

I´ve been reading yesterday some of the posts , it´s winter here and we are having a very bad weather.

So ,Gaby ,I ¨ll be looking for this Gerald Durrel that you have mentioned . I love animals, and seems to be a great story with happy end.I´ve now 4 dogs ,I used to have more ( long story), the youngest of them ,a bullmastiff ,she does a great job with Ivan ,like a nanny , playing with him all around.

You´ve mentioned a great deal of books. I don´t have much time to read , i mean I´m really reading allllll the time ,but journals and papers of medicine , and it leaves me no spare time for another kind of reading.
Anyway ,I like very much my job ,so I ve no complains.

I will keep on reading your posts ,there´s a lot of stuff here, and don´t want to lose my new friends.

Yes, my main hoby is reading, besides listening to music.
I have adored reading since my small childhood, so I spend my free time with reading.
I am a literature teacher too, anyway.

Yes, I also love anymals, especially dogs.
They are extremely intelligent, kind, cute anymals, and hungry for love, play and caring.
I don't have any dog at this period of my life, but when I was a child, we used to live in a willage with my parents, and always had at least one dog, but sometimes more.
One of my fav tvchannel is: Anymal planet.
I always learn new things about anymals there, and I love the series of anymal-safers.

And Gabi , we seem to be twins , I loved to read in my chidhood ,mostly novels , Verne , Dumas , pure fantasy and adventure.
Meantime , I like to read at night ,before going to sleep ,to my child, Narjna chronicles for example , I enjoyed very much doing that.

And we share love to dogs ,they are very faithfull and loyal indeed.

I am so sorry for my laughing Adriana, but you misunderstood a thing abit, but no problem at all, I will explain everything:

No lol, unfortunately, I am not a profesor of literature, I am just a simple literature and language teacher, and my qualification is for teaching children who learn at elementary schools, but I work in my home as a private teacher.

Well, yes, I have been blind since my birth, but you know, there are technical opportunities for blind people too in learning and computing.
I have a lot of blind friends and aquintances who have learned or still learning at universities or colledges.

There is a special computerprogramme for blind people, called: Jaws for windows, and it helps us to use computer.
It reads everything that you can see on your monitor, so I can read and write the forum, to use internet to my learning and teaching, I can use scanner to scann text-files, then to make my programme to read them,
so I can read different texts on my computer.
I have downloaded a lot of e-books and other kinds of stuff from the net, and I have scanned different texts.

When I learned at the teachers' training colledge, technics wasn't as so modern as now adays, so I had to borrow books on casettes from special libraries and had to listen to them from tape.
I had great and helpful groupmates at the school, who read a lot of notes on casettes for me.
I typed my tests, and made notes for my self during lectures and seminars by Braille, which is writing of blind people.

If you will have more questions, feel free to ask.

As for beeing on the forum so frequently, well, I am often online because of other things too, so I check the forum as a little rest.
I really love Scorpions fans, so to be on the forum is for me, like I would spend my time in a very good friend-company.
In hard times, forum always has been a big help for me.

You´ll see, I´m in a latin american country, where the common people doesn´t have so many opportunities as you describe.

I´ve many patients who became blind cause of their diabetes illness, and it´s so sad to watch how they keep apart of the world.

So ,I now will try to use this new information to help them a bit more.

I believe every person has the knowledge of something, we can learn about from.
I´m gratefull for you sharing your experience with me.

And I haven´t misunderstood it at all, you certainly have studied and have read a lot,to become who you are.

Thank you for your warm sentences to me.

Yes, I know what you speak about, because I also have a lot of blind aquintances, who have lost their eye-sights because of diabetes.
I know that it is a dangerous illness for eyes too.

If you don't mind it, I would like to help you a littlebit, so you will be able to help your patients much better.
I will give you link of the official website of the programme that I use.
You can read some info about the programme here, and your patients can download a demo-version free, just to learn treating of the programme, and later they will be able to buy the total programme but the demoversion is perfect as a beggining.

There are two programmes on the site in deed, one of them (Jaws for Windows) is for blind people, and you will find another programme too there, (Magic) which is for those people who aren't completely blind, just can see bery badly, so can't see the monitor good in a normal condition.
Magic makes the monitor, I mean, texts much bigger on the monitor, it has several options, but I don't know Magic exactly.

Oh, I know that Jaws has spanish version as well not just english one because the company has contracts with different countries to give them right for translation.
I use a hungarian version.

Mara, you´re from the country of the strange animals , I would love to know your country and its fauna some day.

And Cameleon , my partner with killing lisence, I search for you, and I really laughed when I saw in ocuppations " always busy " ,you had to be a doctor ,no doubt.

What are you doing ,which is your specialty??

As for being able to see Scorpions performing on stage , I´m afraid it is not going to happen,as they are not expected to come to my country ,at least in this tour.

Brasil isn´t far from Argentina , but I should be adding the plane tickets and the Hotel , and you know ,I´m only a doctor¡¡¡

For you Gabi , thanks ,and I will let you know in some time from now, what changes was I able to make.

And you mean your mother was in the Scorpions gig and you were in her´s belly rigth??

When I was pregnant from my son ,I coudn´t stay in concerts ,cause he starts kicking me ,until I left.

I guess he was reached by the vibrations of the battery and bass, and didn´t like it, but he did like me walking.

Oh ¡¡ its great being pregnant, I´ve enjoyed very much the experience , of course ,haven´t enjoy that much the delivery
