problems signing up...

I got an email about the Forum changes...it said to go to link, and ask (click) for a new password to log in. I could not find any "send new" button, so I tried logging in normally. It kept denying me, but offered me to request a new password...I tried to put in my user name and email address, but I got an error message. I tried to click "contact board adminiastrator, but it sent me back to my email, without a contact address. So, I just re-registered. If we are starting from scratch, fine, but if not, I really would like to be able to have my old account back...

ps, the changes look good, hopefully we can be bug-free....

As for me I did all right but didn't get activation email for my this nickname (thx Wolfgang we solved this prob)...but with another one to activate were no problems...
Maybe simply not on all mail servers messages delivers.

I also know that one person got new password and it didn't work, but after request the other one logged in. So, if u get new password but can't log in all the same request another password

Thanks for the help, but I am still having problems. I click "request new password" and when I type in my username and my email address, I get an error screen, saying that the word string is too long or something like that. I have used the same email addy for the last 7 years, and been a forum member for 2, so it should work, but maybe it might be something else. Anyways, I re-registered and you all know its me, so I am still happy...

There's something that can help...
1st: Request your new password
2nd: when you receive this new passord, before to use it, activate your new password clicking on the provided link. If you try to use the new passord without clicking on this link, it will not works.
3rd: Use your username and your new passord to login and go the options to change this new one if you want it

I believe some people could be getting problems with the 2nd step.

If you're not receiving the new passord, check out your trash can, mainly if you use hotmail, the email with the password could be there.

I understand about getting the password before clicking ahead (like what was just said previously...) but I am not even getting a new password to use. I use Yahoo, and it isn't in my trash can either...

I am not going to fret too much, like i said, I re-registered, same name (just a middle underline...) so I am happy...just call me lazy_tiger 2.0

Like I said on my topic in this section, members have exactly followed this way also with the new password and they are not able to log in. The only one who can help now is our webmaster....

I've input the same email that was with my account, it said that it sent on my email succefully but I didn't get it, it was not in inbox, trash or suspicious, nowhere. But Wolfgang helped me with getting new password

I think Wolf receive e-mails from any adress,hotmail,yahoo,gmail,etc.I remember when I had problem with my login,I sent from hotmail,and he answered not too late..but I dont know what is happen that he is no replying the e-mails.A brazilian member,a friend of mine also have problem to sign in here.
