i want know
why scorpions or the big rock band
dont play in live 8 becouse the people in africa

i thing cuz there busy with own concert

Yeah, I also think that thei didn't have any time to play in live8, because thei have lotsof other concerts, but i am sure that thei totaly agree with the principle of live8.

Scorpions were already committed to a concert in France the night of Live8. There would not have been time for them to do both in one day.

the scorpions never get asked to play these benefit concerts,,the reason..the music media that bad mouths them all the time would be totally embarressed when everyone across the world see how GREAT the SCORPIONS actually are.... and then the music media would have to answer all their wrong doings !!

Well, had the band (or rather the management) committed themselves to the cause, and showed their willingness to perform then I saw no reason why, with today's technology that the Berlin organisers couldn't beam LIVE to Paris.
That way they wouldn't need to have postponed the Paris gig in order to perform for Live8.
It wouldn't be the first time this sort of thing had been done, now would it
It just didn't seem right that the biggest rock act ever to come out of Germany (some would say EUROPE!!), were not present on that stage in Berlin
Especially, given the band's stance on World politics etc.
