Yesterday i was in Kremlin

Unread postby Julchinda » March 3rd, 2007, 2:47 pm

Soooo yesterday i saw the scorpions for the first time in my life!!! i was lucky to get a good seat - in about 15 metres from the stage (but only cuz i paid $140 for it).
I did like the concert!!!!!!!
Well, some facts:
#1 the hall was full. there were mostly true fans. but unfortunately, too many people came to Kremlin only cuz it was prestigious. (- i was in Kremlin!! - how much did you pay? - $500!! - and i paid $600!!). the people of that kind left the concert ahead the time just not to stand in the queue in the checkroom... (no comments)
#2 Rudy was extremely thin. it was unnormal! maybe he's ill? he looked like a 12-year old punk (in sneakers and black tight pants). But anyway, Rudy rocked everyone!!!!
#3 James drank russian beer, poured it on himself and in the end he broke it over his head :) that was fun!!
#4 Klaus sang out of tune only once - at Always Somewhere. but he's not as young as he used to be... We love you, Klaus!!
#5 once Klaus was shaking hands with those from VIP zone and missed the beginning of the song (dont remember what one) :)
#6 Matty didnt walk about the stage... i didnt see him at all... he was wearing black leathern pants.
#7 they seemed to play a new version of Another Piece of Meat. at least i didnt recognize it at once.
#8 once Pawel played standing on some man's seat in the middle of the stalls. that was fun!
#9 so many old songs!!!!!!!!!! most of all i loved:
Still loving you
big city nights
holiday
always somewhere
we'll burn the sky
you&i

#10 i wish they played No one like you and Believe in love.........
#11 i was the only one in a cowboy hat :) at least i didt see anyone else.

Some disappointments took place too:
#1 no new songs. 2 from Unbreakable (Love em or leave em, Deep and dark), 1 from Pure instinct ( you&i), the other ones were old (and that was great!!!!!!i love their old songs)
#2 problems with the sound. sometimes the band had to stop the show for a few seconds cuz of some strange noise.
#3 Klaus' greetings. "hello russia. moscow. yeah yeah. great to be here again. wow. moscow. yes." As if nobody in russia knew english...
#4 i was alone and felt lonely

the tracklist is known. i think i dont need telling it again.

You know, im happy. finally i saw the scorpions!!!!!!!! but i wish i was born 10 years earlier...

Hello Julchinda.

I am very happy for you to have your first Scorps show.
I exactly know what a fantastic feeling you had.
I am so sorry for your disappointments, although in my opinion Klaus didn't say too complicated english sentences not to understand them for anybody there lol.
I am so very sorry for your lonelyness too, but why didn't you russian Fosmembers organize a fanmeeting?
So, you would have had an extra unforgettable memory from yesterday and you wouldn't have been so alone.
fanmeetings always fantastic in each country.

I was just sayin same things, but Gabi is much faster that I am

I also remember my first Scorpions show very well, it was definetly one of my greatest day in my life. And like Julchinda said, I have also dreamed many times, that how great it could have`been to be in those legandary shows in the eighties. But I think Scorpions is still on the top of their game and thats big achievement for a band that has been together this long

Klaus spoke the way he didnt know english at all!! why did he say nothing about the new album?? why couldn't he talk to his fans??
maybe he was afraid that if he said smth more complicated than "hello. russia. yes.", he would be misunderstood?
why does everyone think that the russians don't know english? :(

Hi Julchinda,

Thank you for your wonderful review.
It is interesting to know the atomosphere at the concert place.
Your review is so detailed and it is easy to imagine what the concert was like. Thank you.
I am glad you enjoyed your very first show.
Too bad that the Scorpions couldn't introduce their new songs.
I'm sure they were going to do it earlier time according to Mr. Meine's comment, but something must have happened.
Well, I enjoyed your review very much.
Thank you, Julchinda.

Hah, Julchinda, I love Klaus greetings, no offence, but he always says the same simple things, that's funny but cute

thanks for the review, good show but I'm also dissapointed with lack of news songs...

Julya, sorry, but Klaus speaks normal english, just adds some slang, and btw, he says the same words like in every city, I could recognize which is next song only after he began to talk about it....it's standard set of words and no matter is it Russia or USA for example.

Julia, I`m glad you finally got to see the Band.........what a great experience that must have been for you..........I hope James will try and stop busting beer bottles on his head and find a new gimmick if he needs to have one......I just want him to do a kick ass solo.
The beer bottle thing has been going on to long for me.

Julia thanks for your review. You finally got to see the band live! I'm glad you had a great time. I was surprised they didn't play No One Like You, they play that almost every single time, at least here in the USA. As for Klaus, I agree, he says almost the same things in every city, I'm sure he knows that many people in Russia speak english (some even spanish). I was hoping they would play a new song or two.

ps. people paid $600 for a ticket and left early?? no comment either...

anyway,i'm disappointed with Klaus' speech. cuz i immediately think of Chris Rea's concert and his great words, even a kind of a conversation with his fans.
why say the same words all the time?
as soon as i heard the first words of Meine's speech, i knew what would follow them...
why not something extraordinary?

i think of any concert. and everytime the musicians try to talk to their audience. even at blues fests!

i thought there would be a talk about the new album, the band, the fans...

That's a defect, Klaus.

Russia is a normal country. and english is perfectly understood here.

Sorry, can't agree...I know lots of ppl wjo ddoesn't speak english at all. Some ppl can support a talk in general phrases like "how r u?" but nothing more. And it's also normal in other countries that many ppl don't speak english

Monica,
perhaps Rudy is simply exhousted not ill, he isn't ill, I mean.
Your health is all right, isn't it Rudolf?

Hey, welcome to the forum Vick.
It's nice to see you here too my friend.

Julchinda,
I bet, Inna might be right.
Knowledge of forign languages is in a quite bad situation in Hungary.
Ok, in new generation more and more people speak english, german, etc, but it doesn't work in case of older generations, so Klaus' conversations about anything would be totally invain.

Julia, so happy for you that you got to finally see the Scorpions! Sounds like a great time was had, sorry you were there alone but as Paula has stated, we were all there with you in spirit!!

I don't think you all should be concerned about Rudy, he's not a 'large' man anyway. I'm a female, 5'7 and 140 lbs and I couldn't fit into Rudy's jeans (though I'd....nevermind....wicked thoughts LOL) if I tried. He's always been wirey, and fit. His arms are well defined and he seems to take care of himself. I just watched a Scorps video the other day and when you see the guys up close on stage they look so much taller, larger or bigger than they actually are.
