I think now we are living in a very fast world. There is no more distances!!! So everybody can order everything from everywhere! I mean if the japanese label company should want that the people buy the music materials more expensive, they have to give something extra because the japanese people should order the cheaper DVD and CD if they would include the same materials.

This is exactly what BMG Japan's answer was to me when I called them to ask about it.
You see, the Japanease release date was 2 months later than the one in Germany, and if the record company didn't add anything to the DVD, then people would have bought the DVD at the cheaper price. There are a lot of deep-rooted Scorpions fans in Japan, as there are in many other countries, and Japanese population is big for the size of this country, so Japan is one of the big markets for business, including the music area.
The artists like the Scorpions have a great share of selling CDs and DVDs in Japan, because of the long time fans who buy CDs and DVDs and want to collect something physical, and not only download something off the computer.
So the timing and price does not come from the Scorpions showing disrespect to other countries. It is just the Japanese record company's way of widening the company's sales. The Japanese company made the request, and the Scorpions production agreed.
One other problem is that these products still have to be translated into Japanese, which also adds to the time, effort, and cost of releasing foreign products in Japan, so they have to offset this by attracting more customers. That's about it.

OK, one thing is to make real good music. The Scorpions do it all on their own, they write the lyrics and make great songs by themself. The other thing is to sell the music in DVDs and CDs. For that they need a lot of support from the label companys. It´s a hard business. The Scorpions want to do it right to all of their fans. But they have to make an assess between fans and business. So they give all their power and music to every country of this world and they want do it right for all. But if one of the members will posted here in the forum, why Japan get a bonus, or why the "Box of Scorpions" not came out in Germany, that will make the bond between the ribbon and their fans much stronger. That´s my opinion.

The additional CD in Japan will be live CD of Vienna show on June 24(?), 2004. There will be 5 songs in it.(Said by BMG Japan)

The show was in 25th of June! Maybe just a simple mistake! I think there will be those songs what they left from the DVD!
...the two solos, Tease Me Please Me and You And I...but what is the fifth??? Maybe We'll Burn The Sky. because I can imagine that they will put this song into the cd because the DVD is a mixed material from Mainz and Vienna and the band played WBTS in Mainz.

thanks!!! well I expected to be a full lenght cd, i mean, full concert on it, or at least same songs as in the dvd, but it is cool anyway

It might be nice to have several version of the same album. I know many fans are collecting them. I want to have "Wind Of Change" several versions someday. I wish they would put all the different versions of one song together and make a CD.
