I saw on the mtv show punked,,and ashton was wearing a shirt that said ZOO YORK, is that stealing the ideal from the scorps song which is about new york city,, or does everyone call new york city a zoo??? by the way i know places in baltimore that are zoo's!,,,do you think your hometown is a zoo also?

Lolll Tom, yeah i know some places in my city which are like a zoo, people like anymals in that.
For example, when i get on a bus or a troley which is full of people.
Its terrible, but I may mention departmentstores or the market too in centre of my city.

Hahaha! You watch Punk'd!!! I'm sorry. For some reason that just makes me laugh. But I like that show too. So awesome. Ashton is cool. I'd like to think that he got the shirt idea from the Scorps song. Yup...I'll stick with that one. Haha. Hope you're feeling better.

In the song you can heard ``And walk down 42nd Street`` I think that song talk about not only New York but all the Big Cities in the world.

hi thomas,

i live in canada and i have here an interview on radio CHOM-FM with scorpions who told at the time (1984), what was the real story of ''THE ZOO''.

in fact , it's about the town of new york simply because guys of scorpions walked in the streets and they were very fascinated by all different kinds of persons in that town, you know all kinds of persons who can be dressed with all kinds of weird outfits and/or also people who sings at the corner of streets of ambulant sellers or ambulant musicians or any other kind of persons who promote on streets all kinds of merchandises because they wanna make money.
