John Bongiovi

Sound a little familiar? If you guessed Jon Bon Jovi, you were right. There's a CD under this name, and it has songs from 1980 to 1983 that he wrote. They're really good! I was surprised to hear that the record companies didn't think he had enough talent, because these are great songs. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the falling out he had with his cousin Tony Bongiovi? Thanks.

Anna, I found this CD in a local new Music store. It's an English import. I also found it on Amazon (keep in mind that anyone from anywhere can buy from the U.S. Amazon): http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... mp;s=music

Here are two obscure facts I thought you may be interested to know: Jon learned guitar at age 14 and his guitar teacher once threatened to beat him if he hadn't learned a particular song within a week. When he was in his late teens, he so badly wanted to go to a Bruce Springsteen concert that he sold bootleg posters outside the concert hall in order to raise enough money to buy a ticket. All he succeeded in doing was getting himself arrested.

OH, I HAVE THAT CD TWICE! YEAH, WITH TWO DIFFERENT COVERS! IT´S FROM THE YEARS WHEN JON BON JOVI WORKED FOR HIS COUSIN TONY BONGIOVI IN HIS STUDIOS "POWER STATION", JUST TO CLEAN THE FLOOR, BRING THE COFFES... HE SLEPT THERE, ON THE FLOOR, BUT HE ALSO SPENT PART OF THE NIGHTS IN RECORDING HIS OWN MUSIC. BON JOVI DIDN´T EXIST BY THAT TIME, HE HAD BEEN IN OTHER LOCAL GROUPS, AND THOSE SONGS ARE FROM THAT ERA, IN SOME OF THEM ALSO APPEARS DAVID BRYAN (BON JOVI´S KEYBOARDS), BY THEN CALLED DAVID RASHBAUM!

YES, THEY´RE GREAT SONGS,OF COURSE; I PARTICULARY LIKE THIS CD MORE THAN THE TWO BON JOVI´S FIRST CD´S!!!

JON SAYS HE STARTED PLAYING MUSIC BECAUSE OF HIS MOM... HIS FATHER WANTED TO BE A ROCKER (BEFORE JON WAS BORN) BUT HE DIDN´T SUCCEED, SO HIS PARENTS WANTED HIM TO BECOME WHAT HIS FATHER WANTED TO BE... JON DIDN´T LIKE THAT IDEA WHEN HE WAS A LITTLE BOY, HE EVEN THREW HIS FIRST GUITAR (AT THE AGE OF 7) FROM THE STAIRS!!!

BUT, SINCE HE DIDIN´T LAID WHEN HE WAS A TEENAGER (NO, HE DIDI´N´T!!!) AND HE SAW ALL OLD AND UGLY ROCKERS WITH PRETTY WOMEN, HE DECIDED HE WANTED TO BE A FAMOUS ROCK STAR, AND I GUESS YOU KNOW MORE OR LESS THE REST OF THE STORY... HIS DREAM CAME TRUE MORE THAN HE EXPECTED!!!

AS YOU SEE, HE STARTED IN THIS MOSTLY BECAUSE OF... SEX!!! YES, SEX IS SUCH A GOOD THING(remember we would´t be here if it wasn´t because of this!
