HEY! HEEEEY!!!!
What is going on!
Why are people changing my words?!
I have not said that the proof is seeing - i am not so primitive!
Gohesse - i know this story - a fan one, thanks, liked to read it again.
First about Jesus - there surely was a prototype of this character. Speaking about bible (Old part) as a whole - there are many same books from different religions with many SAME episodes. Why is this? Differnet stories with different heroes but with the same events? Thats because there was a great flood (of a big river - not the whole planet, though at those times people believed the whole planet is their small village), for examole, and many people described it in many ways..
New part of the bible is a history of jue people.
Next.
Dont tell me such things like: "why don't you feel it? Look around we cant explain, but he is everythere! He helps us in some way.. " Where? In what way? By sending helicopter, sorry but i can explain this fact not by God but by some other facts. there are many methods to describe different things - pcsychology, maths - SCIENCES!!!!!!! Not just fantastic thoughts. If you âòå understand something - dont say it is GOD - TRY to UNDERSTAND and find out. In early agies people thought god is sun, cause they simply didnt understand what is it... There will be peopele who believe in god always, cause there will be things you do not no always. And there always be problems - often people are remembering the God in the time of troubles...
Love.
Love is something great.
SOMETHING HUMAN.
Something we cannot explain sometimes, cannot control - thats why you call it God.
Love is love. It is a FEELING, not GOD.
You may the same way say: "love is happiness". Why? Sorry, but happiness is happiness IT IS A FEELING. STUDIED BY PSCYCHOLOGY!!!!!!

Sorry for making someone offended. Nothing personal. Reality.
P.S. Sorry for mistakes.
P.P.S I believe God can do everything, then -
Can God make a stone which he/she/it will be not able to move?

Math, science, psychology,.....
They are all small part of God's creation. Human didn't creat them, they have been on the earth and human found them.

I think I know what you are talking about "other religions have sililar stories"..not just stories but also things likea great star was seen when Jesus was born...same thing happened when other region's God was born.. Long time ago, people didn't have written languages and whatever they needed to pass on to the next generations had to be "told".. so "mistranslation" probably happened.. also, bible was edited somewhat "politically", as you know there are many other documents that were not put in the bible. I'm sure you can find so much infomation on internet. (hey, some document---not theory but actualy found document written by soneone from "that time"--- that says Jesus did not die on a cross, he just got off and was able to walk away because his bones were not broken.
(The oly true part is that his bones were not broken..the writer might have assumed Jesus didn't die yet because back then they used to break bones...but they didn't do it to Jesus..because Roman soliders saw Jesus was already dead...)
Anyway, Alexdeep... does it bother you to see (or think of)people who have belife system? I think, you won't "feel" any presence of God when you are in denial. ..but it's ok... you just might be on the way to finding something ( you know what I mean, don't you, Sheryl)

He's been doing that from the begining of the time! lol
If he will "show off" by doing what we call impossible...I doubt he will. I don't say "he CAN'T. but He probably "won't"

Indeed I do know what you mean Seika You never know when God might throw something at you to make his presence known. I had something happen to me when I was 20 years old that I truely believe was the hand of God protecting me. I was at the dentist having my wisdom teeth removed surgically. Apparently i was given too much sodium pentothal, and when all was over I had to be carried out the back door of the office and put into my mother's car. The next day 3 women died from sodium pentothal overdose is the same dentist office. About 2 weeks later he was arrested after he pulled a gun on some cops behind his office as he was trying to destroy the files of these 3 women, turns out he had quite the cocaine habit. Sorry this is so long. I sometimes refer to this incident as the day God smacked me upside my head to get my attention, saying "hey I'm here, don't forget me"

oh sheryl... I didn't know that!!
I don't have any big experience.. but I used to experience "coming back from astral trip"..I didn't know about it back then,,,we call it KANASHIBARI in Japanese... turned out to be something you feel when your soul comes back from astral trip and getting back to body. You can't move, you can't shout, you hear poeple laughing, ceiling spins around...it IS scary at first, though you can learn to sense it right before it comes....
Our soul leaves our body and travel around while we sleep. When the soul is out, it is conected to body with "silver code" so it can come back. Some people even witness this silver code( I haven't)
And this Silver code IS mentioned in Bible.

Ok, Im going to end this dispute...
first of all one argument is that faith is weak because its unfactual trust... but you BELEIVE that it's not good to do certain things like steal, rape in pillage, that its good to love. There are no more facts behind the goodness of not doing those things then there are in the existence of a higher being. Therefore you have to beleive something on just faith.

Now to the other side, if you truly beleive the religion you follow now is the same as it was when it was founded you are sadly mistaken. every single religion has been twisted and contorted ever since it was first laid down regardless of what laid it down. So what your following could
very well be a bunch of hogwash (not sying it is, but it COULD BE).

personally I am agnostic, I am without religion however I beleive in a higher being... it's not faith and it's not fact... but if you ever look at the majestic earth you can tell it didn't come by by accident

The dispute will last until the last day of man. No sense adding to it, I’ll keep my beliefs private.
AlexDeep: About wars - on the contrary I believe that religion IS NOT THE REASON FOR WARs. Some people think that people start wars because of religion (for example crusaders) BUT REAL REASONS ARE ECONOMIC REASONS, not religion.
Damn AlexDeep, will we ever agree? Too many wars have been fought in the name of God or because of religious differences, too many lives lost prematurely.

The topic subject spoke of tolerance, and I think this is not to be understated. Please, be tolerant of the beliefs of others.
