Happy for Germany, surprised about Holland, and logical score for Spain/Italy...
the defense of Germany looked finally good, like the very very old days, pre-90s, don't you agree Hans!

can't wait for the next games to come! :D

I totally agree, as the games wasnt really a "good" one for the Germans, but the defense performance was relatively good, especially when compared to their defense in the past years/decade! but as you said, they got 3 points, I hope we see a much better game for the Mannschaft against the oranges..

Why are the games that are to offer such entertain becoming such a wet blankets.....Ireland did not really show up however Keane should of got penalty....as it looked like the Croatian player took a page from John Terry..... :confusion-seeingstars:

France v England tonight.....here the game between Ukraine v Sweden is not being discussed.....

So....Vive La France... :happy-bouncyblue:

Go Ireland..... :happy-bouncyshadowgreen:

Yes, the defense was quite good but that was no surprise for me. Jogi Löw always said he knew about the problems in the defense (for example against France or Switzerland) and he will work on it in the preparation for the Euro.

I was also a bit surprised about the poor forward, especially Lukas Podolski. I hope this gets better.

Really, you must have watched a different game than me. I watched the last 10 min now for about 5 times. Yes, Portugal was much nearer to the german goal than the 80 mins before, but I haven't seen a really dangerous situation for Germany (maybe one).

well, my thoughts, there always has to be a somehow "not very good" game in the group stage of each tournament before qualifying, just like the one where they lost to Serbia in the last WC...so i hope, that, for this Euro, this IS that game, in which they got 3 points in fact, and I suppose the rest will be better with much better performance from Poldi, Mueller, and the others who didnt really impress in the game versus Portugal..
those 3 points will give them the comfort advantage over Holland on Wednesday...best of luck for my all time favourite Mannschaft!

today another big game: England - France ..let's see.. (I will miss today's german class in order to watch it   )

Do I have to say I'm in a good temper today? But still Germany is not at 100%, but they are getting better.

And here something from outside the pitch

Congrats! (You see, today I post in orange). But to predict the Germany - Netherlands result wasn't really hard, because nearly all important games between these two teams end this way (WC 1974, EC 1988, WC 1990)
But I guess I'm not bad either. I take part in the prediction game of the Mannschaft and there I am in the moment ranked #55 from about 7800 registered users.

  yes I saw this live yesterday but it was quick...funny Joachim !
I must say yesterday's game provided me with a an excellent energy/mood today too, considering I am at work and am tooo sleepy because I slept really late at night..thanks to the Germans!
and I agree, they are not 100% convincing yet...and honestly I hope both Germany and Holland qualify to the next round...but I know how difficult it is for the Oranjes now..anyway, next is Denmark...we're gonna beat them..!

Hi Emilie

what do you say? You will watch the game Spain - Ireland? I'm really surprised!

And I have a hunch Spain could win it. To be honest, Spain is still the team you have to beat if you want to wind this tournament. For Ireland - unfortunately - I really don't see the glance to win this game.

But I like the way Ireland plays, they know they are not so good, but they play with heart and passion
