Anyone ever just blow it?

Unread postby AddictedToTheJam » December 17th, 2003, 4:56 am

Here's the deal, tonight I played this bar with my friend, but I got their at an open mic and the guys playing were incredible and they'd been playing longer than I've been alive anyway, I'm a good player for the most but these guys were nuts. So we get on and we're the youngest guys there, we got the ****tiest amps in history (2 30 watts) and I start of fine, but into it I just lose mobility in my fingers, I close my eyes cause it's too much, and I F-in blew it. Like I figured they would'nt like the music, but the fact is I blew it over all on stage and it's given me this huge hit, I feel awful, and i don't know what to do
anyone relate? more importantly anyone manage anyform of success after that? The whole way home was like I should quit the guitar, no i should use this as motivation, no I should quit etc...
It was horrible

I can't say I've blown it on stage like that..but I would like to say that ..If it were me, I would chalk this one up to experience.."practice" so to speak. Move on and please don't give up the guitar, That seems to be something that is a gift..don't waste it.

Don’t dwell on it. Chalk it up to a crazy case of stage fright and think how someday when you are famous you will look back on the episode and laugh your ass off.

What’s the best thing to do when you fall off a horse?

If you’re really serious about playing and love the guitar, go play at the very next opportunity.
