My attitude is not changing to a man if he/she is an American - cause the only blame he has (if he is against the war) - money he/she pays to the government, which go for financing the war...
You cannot chanfe it. But in the case of nazit there was not a chance for an honest, good man to live in such a country. Fighting or running were the only way to be german and live further looking in to the eyes of people.
