I promised a very good a special friend that I put a review from the fest.
It is a festival was aranged for the second time , in 2010 the first one Scorpions were there.
This year first I would go , but here Edguy will be there , so I went.
18 bands - 2 stages , 1 stage finish ,the other starts , if you want you can see all bands .
It starts at 11am , I was there from 3.30 pm , I phone Hans he has to start from home , so dit come later.
I watch a band who was already stardet "Nichtmare" pretty goodhard rock , singer sounds like Dio.
I say the level is pretty high for that time , the other bands after dissapiont me , grummy singers , to loud , sound not good , not my music. I went outside watch some small store , a real Belgium like I am drink a beer and some young pretty girl phone me , how she get my number ,its ok I like hear ,its good that she think like a older guy like me . Later Hans arived and we meet Jess and friends , difficul talking for me my french is not so good to speak (mon exuses Jess) I understand alot , on that point I am not a good Belgium , my french schould be better , but I take the level up with the beers .
Together we watch Vanden Plas , not bad not my style , but the bands came better . Jess need a seat at that point, she was not tyred just impressed from a guy beside has to need a ly down after maybe to many beers , I watch there friend who were a james t-shirt and look at his back if he has the tattoo , now he has not.
I think he said he is gonna place it the day after , but I am not sure ,my french is not so good
That we went outside Hans and me to do a phone call to another young girl we like as we promised .thank you it felt good the phone call .
We eat something and go inside to watch Rage , they were good , we missed half of them but they were good , only 3 guys rock hard.
Hans would like to see Gamma Ray , but we took already place to have a good place for the Edguy show, me first get a beer and buying a Edguy T-Shirt . beside us there were dutch people who taking a pic of Hans and me , the guy came special for Edguy to Mons for it .Jess and friends joinus , and Edguy starting , from the beginning , they rock , have fun and take the crowd by the balls, we have to sing with Tobias , he would count for no less , but he has no problem with , he is a born entertainer . I phone our friend to join 2 times , with the first song "dead or rock " and " save me" we have to sing it with Tobias it .a concert of 75 minutes , they deserve more but he promissed us the next album come out in August and tour follow from September with a full concert with everything in it , I gonna be there , the setlist I would not place songs to forget some , but the favorites were there , if its on setlistfm I put it later on .
Next was Hammerfal , we dit not watch ,compleet , I need some food and a seat outside together with Hans , but I done now them but I think I would like them . Finale Europe ,what do I have the say , it was good , but again like in 2005 Europe missed something for me , there were good songs , very good in it , but Joey missed something to me, okay 1 song his guytar was not working, but there has to be something more , the final was very good . to me it would be better that Edguy was the headliner .
The end was a cover band , not bad but me and Hans were leaving after 2 songs goin home , .
I t was great to see Edguy and thank you Hans for being there with me , it means alot you now why.
