My dear Adriana, thank you very much. Unfortunately your wish didn't work. My father made the mistake to buy some very sneaky little candles. On the back side of the package there was written "go off only in water", but they looked so normal that no one paid attention of course, until I (tried to) blew them. We (all together) were lucky to manage to blow them finally just before the cake started to burn.

BTW I was a guest at Ruta's place that evening so hardly a "host".
BTW2: That cherry beer wasn't mine (like lemonade with a twist of alcohol I suppose, although there exist good cherry beers as well, but if you go in that kind of beers, I personally prefer gueuze, these beers are btw typical for the region north of Brussels).
