Your welcome. I know that the Siegfried and Roy fans are kind of like a tight knit family, even though we have never meet each other. When this incident occurred it shook up all of their fans to an unbelievable point.
Rudiray, don't worry about not having seen their show. I know of a few fans who haven't seen their show and they wish that they had now.
I've never been to Las Vegas and have never seen their show. I did, however, see their special on tv and from what I saw it was quite a show.
If they ever do return to the stage, I know a lot of fans who said that they'll be the first in line to buy tickets to it. It'll just be a wait and see for now if they ever do.

Here is some great news. Roy Horn is back in Las Vegas. He was released from the hospital and is back home for the holidays today. He is continuing to do well in his rehab. He will still be doing rehab with a team of doctors from UCLA and Las Vegas.
If another update happens, I'll post it.

I heard this update about Roy Horn of Siegfried and Roy.
Roy is still in Las Vegas under a team of doctors' care. He is still home and is reported to be doing better and improving everyday.
He still has a long recovery ahead of him and it's still too early to tell if S&R will be returning to the stage.

Gods, I hope they get to go back to the stage! They are very passionate about it. Not to mention the tigers love it too! Every ounce of good luck I can throw their way, I do!

Here's another update about Roy Horn.
Roy's tracheal tube has been removed and now he can talk a lot more better and he can have solid foods.
The first solid food that he asked for was pistachio ice cream and wiener schnitzel, two of his favorite foods.
A tracheal tube was placed in his throat when he was on a ventilator. They left it in just in case he needed to go back on the machine, but now it's out.
Their manager, Bernie Yuman, hinted that Roy may be walking a lot more on his own real soon.
For now, Siegfried and Roy are celebrating these small triumphs in his recovery.

I have a small amount of expertise on this subject. I agree PETA is wrong. And some animal experts can be just as wrong. I saw a show just a few days ago...they rescued a siberian Tiger cos some idiot thought it would be a good idea to have it as a pet. Never thinking about how much it would cost to feed this animal...a full grown tiger can eat as much as 50 lbs of meat a day! He was under feed, and kept in an old trailer! There were actually two tigers...the female simply dead of starvation, the male was in better shape and was sent to a sanctuary but before they did that, they nuetered him! NUETERED an endangered species?! Tigers, every last species of them from the Siberian Tigers, to the Bengal Tigers and all 5 sub species of Bengals are so endangered that their numbers combined is only about 5,000 left in the wild!! That's it. Due to poaching, trafficking, and expanding human developing, there is simply no place for the Tigers to live. The can't live in a habitat that doesn't exist...and THIS is the main reason, Seigfred and Roy's Tigers probably can never return to the wild. Not to mention that they wouldn't know how to provide for themselves. AND if it weren't for the santuarys and Zoo's conservation programs, Tigers would be completely extinct inside of about 10 or 15 years. The fight for the Wild Tiger is all but lost. They likely will not survive long past that time frame. The only way to make sure that Tigers are not completely erased from the earth, are the conservation programs. There, they are safe from poachers and traffickers.
And to the list you can add:
Snow Leopards ( and ALL other species of Leopards)
Southern Right Whales!!
Other species of Whales
All Species of Sea Turtles
Dolphin
Orcas
Bears (All Species)
Sharks (All Species)
Chimpanzees
Orangutangs
Lowland Guerillas
Gold Monkeys
Kangaroos
and list sadly goes on and on...

I know this was supposed to be a Subject on Siegfred and Roy but the openning of the topic on the Tigers was a good chance for me to share some important information.

I love you Miss B! Thank you for helping others understand that many of our world's species are in so much danger! I am also especially glad that you mentioned the shark folk. Almost noone pays attention to them! Over half the known species of sharks (~257 known) are endangered and the others are threatened.
Siegfried and Roy are two of the rarest humans on Earth. Their lives really do revolve around doing everything possible to protect the survival of different species. Destroying a highly endangered fellow because of misunderstanding between him and his human friend is just not acceptable!

Well Said Miss B! I hear ya and let me just say that I get down right p i s s e d when I hear stories here in Colorado about how people move up into the mountains to get away from the city and then they get p i s s e d when a bear comes onto their property and can you belive they demand that it be killed?!?! These folks moved into the bears home and had better learn to share it or stay in the freakin city. Again, well said Miss B.

We keep pushing animals out of their territory and that does come at a price. Here in Northern Ca. mountain lions allways come up in the news attacking someone on a trail......
Thanks for the info Miss B. and ScorpsDiva you definately hit that nail on the head about the Bears.....and of course thanks to beowulf for the updates.........animals I have found treat you better than most humans do...............Believe that.

Thanks for listening to me babble and your welcome for the feedback...It's nice to know there are other people who care.
Retvi: Sharks are a very beautiful and essential part of delicate eco-system. They can't be forgotten because their survival is simply too important.

Sherry: I know what you mean. It is the same story for most wildlife. Human developement in and thereby destruction of habitats is the number 1 reason there are literally THOUSANDS of animals on it. They just have no where to live.

Rudiray: Your right about that. Case in point...Dolphins are well known for helping humans. Even to the extent of herding and driving schools of fish into fishing nets...and they are thanked by ending up as by-catch...literally drowning and screaming in terror in the nets of the fishermen they were simply trying to help. These animals are SO intelligent they can learn basic grammatical principles like nouns, verbs, adjectives. Yet Japan holds an annual Dolphin hunt.

Aaaaack, see if I get started....Well, I know I've kind of hijacked this Subject so I will end it right now but, if there is anyone who would like to know more and/or what you can do to help, just email me dracusorea@aol.com, and I'll hook you up.

Miss B

Footnote: Just recently the illustrious Gale Norton, US Sec of the Interior, is trying to claim the Endangered Species Act is Unconstitutional and wants to GUT the whole program. Nice huh?

I wanted to let everyone know here that over the weekend Roy Horn took two steps by himself. When he was in the hospital, he had to lean on someone in order to walk, but now he can do it on his own.
Any more updates and I'll post them here.

Just in case anyone has read the tabloids lately, I wanted to clear a few things up.
The tabloids along with the German paper "The Bild" have reported that Siegfried left for Cuba for two weeks to get away from Roy.
This statement is not entirely true.
This is what their German manager has told everyone in the Siegfried and Roy fanbase.
Siegfried did go to Cuba, but for only four days. They are personal friends of Nicole Durr. Nicole Durr has put together a musical stage show entitled "Havana Night" (not to be confused with the movie "Havana Nights"). "Havana Night" is a musical about the music and dancing of Cuba. Siegfried and Roy has privately lended a hand to help her put together this show and so naturally, Siegfried went to Cuba to check on the production. If Roy could have gone, he would have went with him.
Roy is doing better and better everyday in his rehab. Roy has been to see his animals too.
Also, Roy's brothers are not trying to get a piece of his millions and they are not trying to see the books either.
I don't know who the tabloids so-called source is, but rest assured that this person (if they exist) is someone who is not even close to Siegfried and Roy.
I guess that news about Siegfried and Roy is so slow that everyone has to dramatize the situation and print out a bunch of crap.
So, they make it look like Roy is reduced to being a screaming baby and Siegfried is sitting in a corner deeply depressed and covering his ears with his hands. While a fight goes on over who gets the money.
This is totally and utterly nonsense!
Siegfried is not naive to Roy's condition and they both know that Roy will have a long recovery ahead of him.
So, everyone please don't believe what the tabloids say about what is going on with Siegfried and Roy.
They just want to make things look worser than what they really are.
When I get more updates, I'll let everyone know about them.
I just wanted to take the time to clear a few things up about what was being said about them.

Before I give my newest Roy update, I just wanted to say something. Miss B, you can talk about tigers and other endangered animals all you want here. I know that I have strayed from the topic a few times myself. Yes, we cannot forget other endangered animals as well. We must also not to forget the animals that have gone the way of the dodo and have become extinct, either. If we forget the animals that have perished due to humans, then we are doomed to repeat the same fate with other animals as well. And what will we tell our children or our future children when we turn a page in a book to an animal that has become extinct. Oops sorry, but we needed the space for ourselves! When we expand nieghborhoods and cities into forests and land occupied by animals, then we must deal with our own actions. Those actions are to learn to live and deal with animals. After all, it is not they who invade our territory, but it is us who do the invading. We must learn to live in this world as a whole, not only with ourselves, but with the animals that we share this world with.
Great words said by two great men, Siegfried and Roy.
Now, for the Roy update.
On Wednesday, Siegfried and Roy spoke via phone to a Bunte reporter. I do mean Roy spoke to the reporter as well. Yes, he is speaking.
Roy told the reporter that he was with his feet already nearly in the grave, but now he is well again. He has the same trainer as Christopher Reed. He trains for 9 hours a day. The strict program he is on consists of 3 times with certain muscle training instruments and special walking and talking programs. Not to mention, that he was able to walk 558 steps with a treadmill. He can't stand up alone, yet, however, he does sit in a wheelchair and Siegfried drives him to where he wants to go and drives him around the grounds in a golfcart. Roy also has many ideas for their "Father of the Pride" cartoon series which will replace Friends on NBC. It will be on Thursday nights at 8:00 pm during the new fall season. It is written from the animals point of view. Roy also asked for plans of a new show, for the Secret Garden and the animals, wants to rebuild things at their other house and he wants to travel. He wants to go to Rome this year and see the Pope. Siegfried is trying to set up a meeting through his sister, Sister Dolore. (Yes, Siegfried's sister is an actual nun.) Roy has been to see his animals and his animals have been brought to the Jungle Palace to see him, including Montecore.
Siegfried even set the record straight about what the tabloids have printed about him recently. He never ran away and especially not from Roy. The trip to Cuba was planned for a very long time by their friends. Roy told him to go for some days and when he came back he would have a surprise for him. Roy showed him that he was already able to go into a car by himself. He also said that they are not on the outs with their longtime manager, Bernie Yuman, and Roy's brothers have never fought to see the books. In fact, they have been in close contact with Roy's brothers throughout this ordeal and they trust in Siegfried's decisions about Roy's medical care.
On another note, the prayer quilt has been finished and already have been sent out to Siegfried and Roy. When I get a link to a picture of it, I'll post the link.
Now, in my next post, I want to tell a few things that some people probably don't know about Siegfried and Roy, but should.

Here are a few things that most people don't know about Siegfried and Roy, but should.
These two men have not only become conservationist to animals of the land, but also to animals of the sea as well.
Here are some of their contributions to the animals that they have done so far.
Sponsor the Annual K-9 Trials in Las Vegas
Donated money and a washer and dryer and a dishwasher to the local animal shelter
They even adopted a cute little dog named Rapunzel from the shelter.
Spokemen for the Save the Tiger Fund
Their conservation programs are global;Las Vegas, Nevada, Cincinnati Zoo, Johannesburg, South Africa, and Stukenbrock, Germany
The Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage was started by Siegfried and Roy. The majority of the dolphins that were born at the habitat made The Mirage one of the most successful breeding environments in the world.
Their humanitarian efforts can also be found with the help and organizations that they have helped, too.
Cape Town, South Africa-1997-They established a SARMOTI grant to enable disadvantaged young people to join the College of Magic and experience the world of magic.
They have also helped Siegfried's sister. Sister Dolore went to Romania to help 28 orphaned kids. To help her and the children out, Siegfried and Roy bought her a Volkswagen bus, however, Siegfried wanted to buy her a Land Rover and have it shipped to East Europe. She told Siegfried no to that. They also bought her a cell phone so that she wouldn't have to walk 20 miles to a telegraph office to phone him. They also staged a benefit in Rosenheim, Germany for these children. Donations totaled about $1 million and was used to construct a sturdy new home and teaching facility. When they visited her in Romania, they brought with them toys, books, and clothes that were donated by Mirage employees.
All of this is just the tip of the iceberg on the mark that Siegfried and Roy have left on this world.
I'll post more updates when I get them.

ScreweyLewis, how dare you say such a thing! Roy is absolutely not gay and it was not a mauling nor an attack! It was an incident! The tiger just put one little puncture mark in his neck! What in the F.U.C.K. gives you the right to come in here and say such a thing about someone that you don't know anything about!
I see that you are just starting out so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now! However, come in here and say what you said again and I'll put your ass in a sling!
