way to go for the German clubs! :)

ooooh, what happened to Schalke yesterday? If you follow the Bundesliga, that's not really a surprise. Schalke is good, can be very very good. But they are not stable enough yet. And then games like these can happen. It's nearly the same with Leverkusen.

About Barca / Milan: Congrats to Barca. They have shown once again they are the best team on this planet. Just like Thomas Müller said in an interview:"You must be a masochist if you want to meet Barca in the knockout stage of the Champions League".

   Oh yes, Uli Hoeness is really angry right now! But what the hell, I guess every team has some phases when they do not play good. As Thomas Müller said in an interview, this might be the right warning to the right time.

Let's look at the quarter finals. Here my predictions:

PSG - Barca
Real Madrid - Galatasaray (do you know a word with more a's in it?)
Malaga - BVB
Bayern - Juve

where I am not so sure about Bayern. Italian teams seem to be Bayern's kryptonite. Adry, what do you think, how strong is Juve this time? Unfortunately I didn't follow them lately.
What I think what is interesting: When you go to Marca.com, a lot of people in Spain think Barca, Madrid and Bayern are nearly on one level and just a bit behind them they see the BVB. It seems BVB impressed this season.

well the only classic in these quarter final games is Bayern-Juve . Adry and I were talking about the italian teams kryptonite few days before the draw, and he was wishing we don't face an italian team once again, as they also get very lucky against Bayern. well, that's it now, of course it is easier when you face Galatasaray, Malaga or PSG but I wanted Bayern to face a strong team in the quarter finals (i would have been happy had they faced Barca), this will make them look more consistent and rigid in case they go further...

BVB simply make me smile, I knew they would impress and was keeping an eye on them! all i was wishing for is not to have them play against Bayern now, because I wont both team to go as far as possible, that increases the probability of me being happy about the CL winner this year :D (I like Juve too btw...after all bundesliga teams, Juve comes next in the CL for me  but I dont think i will accept it if they win the CL after beating Bayern or maybe BVB later :P)

Bayern will play a game up to a QF level in Munich (I wish the first was in Turin tho), unlike the last game against Arsenal which is now behind and wont impact the future performances but in a good way..

by the way, today Bayern plays against Bayer Leverkusen. It is supposed to be the revenge game as Bayern lost one single game this season and it was against Bayer Leverkusen in the Allianz Arena.
On the other hand, it seems that Mandzukic, Müller, Lahm and Ribery will miss the game.

I have the same predictions, however I feel we're gonna have a surprise somewhere...I don't know in which game exactly... but 2 spanish finalists v/s 2 german finalists looks interesting (yet scary for us, upon the last bad experiences :P)

it seems we are not alone. The readers of the spanish Marca sports-newspaper said the same.
But that's interesting, when you read a spanish before a major tournament (for example the world cup but not confed cup) they say 'the only dangerous team for us are the Germans'
Maybe now is the time where football fans in other countries do not think anymore 'Germany or Bundesliga, that is Bayern München + 17 other clubs'.

thats true...I remember the BVB golden days back in the 90s, with Matthias Sammer, good memories take me to the CL 97 final which i still remember quite well, (3-1 v/s Juve) and there is a time when Bayer Leverkusen were shining in the CL, that was in the early 2000s I think...
now Bayern Muenchen were able to hold on to their position as a brilliant club internationally but other German teams need to look as consistent as Bayern.. (Schalke is not capable of this, unfortunately) and this is where BVB has a big chance!

yes, from time to time there was a second club besides Bayern, just like you said, Leverkusen, Werder Bremen, VFB Stuttgart or sometimes the HSV. But there had always been Bayern München. Maybe now is the time that there will establish another big team.

And when you look at it, that's really amazing what they have done in Dortmund. Jürgen Klopp developed a team with really little money. And that's why I like this club so much. That's completely different to Bayern which usually buys developed players. We here in Germany have a phrase: When there is a good player at another club, Bayern buys him just to weaken his opponent.

yeah I know wut you mean, I am always attracted to such teams as well...Klopp is doing an amazing job that he should be rewarded for..
and in general, german clubs do not pay much to get foreigners, we have approached and discussed this once, and I think everyone agrees that a huge amount was spent on Martinez this year (40 M Euro!), I mean he's a good player but worth paying all this fortune? seems like FC Bayern is following the trend of english and spanish teams? he's going to miss the first game against Juve btw...let's see what Gustavo can do instead..

but not tonight!!!! ;)
awesome game by Bayern tonight, thats my FC Bayern RESPECT! :D

btw..I predicted the right score on a page of a German Restaurant here in Beirut, called "Schnitzel", they were holding a small competition and I just won 2 liters of beer for guessing the 2-0 ;)

Recently im guessing many of Bayern's scores, and the most brilliant ones are todays and the 3-1 v/s Arsenal.. :D

that was really amazing by Bayern. When I look at the results, there won't be a surprise. In the semi-final two spanish and two german teams.

The Dortmund game was not so good but in Donezk they have been worse and we know how the home-game was.

Nada, do you still plan to visit a game in the Westfalenstadion? Then prepare to meet Dortmund fans. Here a little goody, Dortmund fans in Manchester:

Yessssss my favourite 2 teams in Europe are both in the semis.. How awesome is that!
Yet BVB need to improve their performance... As per Bayern, a very well deserved win, they are proving themselves as a consistent strong team that has all the criterion to be crowned champion of Europe..
The draw is tomoro, lets wait and see! I am
Expecting a Bayern/Barca and BVB/Real.. Wut do you think?
