Making peace on this forum every now and then is a good idea, I found your attempt in some info, MAN. A reason to emigrate must be a good one. I have none. Maybe get paid more in the U.S.? Nah, thank you.

I don't know who is reading this, but I think there are still some silent listeners.

I'm listening. Hope you don't mind.
I like reading topics that continue like regular conversations. There are many here that do but only two that I can understand.
Cheers,
jackie.

I am glad that we're not doing all these posts just for ourselves and that they have some entertaining value, however small that may be. Greetings to you Jackie.

Hello, and thank you for the greeting.
I enjoy reading your topic because you are humorous and diplomatic when dealing with conflict. I had read it earlier in your topic.
I'm a nursing student in Southern England who enjoys the band's music. There are some very outstanding fans here.
Cheers to you all,
jackie

Hi Kammo, I like humourous and diplomatic, it's a brilliant combination. No word yet if The Scorpions will reach The UK but I hope some of you will or have had the experience on this tour. Pity if they bypass us.
Are they coming to Canada Kammo?
Cheers

Thanks for the warning. But the Italians are fine. Look at them, they are at page 159.

Please jump back in your conversation acnijdam. Sorry but you and Kammo are the key ingredients here. Hope this topic reaches 165 pages too.
I'm calulating how many euros I will need to convert to for the online store. Wish it was automatic.

Cheers

That's very kind, Jackie. Somehow I don't think we're gonna get to page 165...that's quite a challenge. The interval between posts is increasing and increasing...

I am glad you brought that up. You should join the Euro, that would be easy!

We haven't had real trouble with the introduction of the Euro, except that everybody spends a Euro where one used to spend a Guilder (a Euro being 2.2 Guilders). If you did the same in the UK that would give you huge savings (a Euro being only 0.68 Pounds)!

Another problem for us is that the counterfeiting of Euro notes is more professional then it was for Guilders. That wouldn't go for the Pound, because the market of the Pound is already a big one. Well, that's what I heard.

I know, I see the interval growing. Perhaps it's the strange hours that I keep that prevents me from coming as often here.
I'll just have to pay more attention.

Yes we should all have one universal monatary system in Europe however the Quid will always be ours if British Politicians have their way. Besides, Her Majesty the Queen's photo on our currency is a mainstay in our country and their would be a public out cry if we were to change.
If we spent a Euro where we would normaly spend a quid, then retail shops would adjust the price eventually to imply it was on par when actually we would be paying more for our goods.
In New Zealand they implemented a 8% goods and services tax which was supposed to bring prices down. It didn't happen that way and now they are accustomed to paying the surcharge on top of the regular price.
Counterfeiting will always be, I suppose people will one day be able to perfect the holograms on Euro and pound notes. I have not figured out the trick yet.
Cheers,
jackie
