Canadian Scorpions Fan!

Hi, my name is Emily and I'm from Toronto, Canada. I will be seeing Scorpions for the first time this Sunday when they play a show at the Molson Amphitheatre. I hope they'll play "Rhythm Of Love" cause it's my favorite song by them! I'm a bit younger (18), I didn't grow up listening to them but have been a fan for 3 years. I love music from the 70's-80's era in general. So far I have seen Metallica, AC/DC, Megadeth, Testament, Poison, Heaven & Hell (RIP Ronnie James Dio ), Judas Priest, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Motorhead, Alice in Chains, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, George Thorogood, ZZ Top....and hoping to see lots more!!

My wife and I will be at the same show as you, that is if we're able to get through the traffic in time for it with all the G20 summit protesters. We're a few hours north of you, in Sudbury. This will also be my first time seeing them in concert, the second time for my wife. I see you're also a fan of Glenn Tipton -- me too!

I did grow up with the Scorps, with the Blackout album on. Funny thing, I'm just getting into the older albums in recent years because of my wife. She's always loved the 70's albums, as well as the rest. But when I was young, I wasn't interested in hearing the older stuff. Now, I'm totally loving the Lovedrive, Animal Magnetism and In Trance albums!! Their music has become the soundtrack of our lives together.

I've a question. You are from Canada but do you speak English or French? I ask this because your name is not like mine, Emily Here in the german part they always asked me how to write my name, they write it always like you, with the y but it's false, it's written like in French for me

I think that's great you guys are coming from Sudbury to see them, especially with the G20 summit going on. When I realized it was on the day of the concert, I thought what bad timing! However I recently talked to my friend who lives downtown but works in Oakville and he said that the traffic isn't as bad, it's fairly light (almost like people are afraid to drive during this time). So I hope you and your wife will make it to the concert in time. Yes, Glenn Tipton is a very talented guitarist - I'm not only a fan of him, I'm in love with him! lol

I started out listening to mostly their albums from the 80's as well, and a random mix of songs from their earlier albums. That's very cute that their music is the soundtrack of your lives together, as they do have amazing songs surrounding love and romance!

Thanks for your welcome I speak mainly English, I took French courses in high school so I do know a little bit of the language but not fluent. Emily is a very common name here and usually spelled with the "Y" too, but I think the way your name is spelled is more unique and special!
