Hi guys, Im a newbie. Nice to join this forum.
Small Business Telephone Options
I'm setting up a small office phone system and am realizing the limitations of VOIP. I'll describe the situation and what I've found, hopefully somone out there has some thoughts/suggestions.

I have an office and an assistant. My assistant picks up all calls and announces to me who is on the phone. Usually, I want him on the phone with me (to take notes, be aware of what's going on, etc.). What I realize is that with VOIP, if he wants to be on the call with me, he has to conference me in. Then all other incoming calls go straight to voicemail. So, is there a way he can be on the phone with me and still be able to see other incoming calls (if it were an analog phone, and we had 2 lines, we would both be on line 1, leaving line 2 free for incoming calls).

Any thoughts here?

Thanks!
