i've heard a little about NLP, anna. i'm not sure what i think about it yet, other than the fact that it seems very interesting, to say the least.

are you interested in it?

I just find it amazing that you chose Psychology as your major and Misanthropy as your user name on this board.
I could understand maybe Misandry, if you just disliked men.
I could also understand Misogyny, if you only disliked women.
You happen to choose Misanthropy meaning you dislike all people.
Now, without getting too analytical, can you please explain this to us?
I took Psychology too and I find it strange.
We are probably all waiting with bated breath for your explanation.

You find it amazing? Heh. It's not anything strange, really. 'misanthropy,' while meaning hatred or dislike for people, also means mistrust of humankind. It's not that I hate or dislike people, that is not the case, but it's true - sometimes I find a hard time trusting them. As well, it's merely a code name if you will, so if you like, you can call me Tracey. Because that's really my name. I think everyone is a misanthropist sometimes. It just depends on the situation.

yes, sometimes we really mistrust people and the whole world... but i hope no one feels like that permanently... or it's a pathology...
Tracey, NLP is interesting, take a look at it

Yeah, I don't think I know of anyone who really feels like that -all- the time. Which is very good, because if I did I would probably be worried about them all the time!

I will take a look, Anna --is there anything particular that I should be looking out for? Anything specific, I mean?

i guess it's hard to live in the world when don't trust in it...
NLP... well, i'm far from specialist in it but as i know it, it's a "technology of communication" - it helps to know better yourself and other people...

thank you. better late than never, you know? :)

you're welcome. they do say that you learn something new every day, right? and while not necessarily true all the time, it does apply fairly often. heh.
