Hi all,
I just joned this board after so many years and concerts (Mulhouse 1979 to Lyon Nov 2011, where i was at the Meet and Greet). Attending the LAST concert of their career would be an extraordinary event... After thoroughly checked the eventim.de ,, i found on page
http://www.eventim.de/scorpions.html?af ... w&kuid=573 , it says "Aufgrund der großen Nachfrage legen die Scorpions nach und spielen eine zusätzliche Show in Oberhausen. Sichern Sie sich jetzt die begehrten Tickets! " Meaning: due to large demand, the S added an extra show in Oberhausen". So while the group will attend the Berlin Intl Film Festival, from Feb 14 to 24th 2013... to show the movie produced with their concerts..
Any body disagrees...i.e. do you think other concerts will be held in Germany in 2013 ?
Regards from the French Alps (Grenoble) - Alain

Well, I can't imagine that the last show will be anywhere in Germany. Becuase the fan-base in Germany isn't so good for solding big stadiums out. I remember the show at bielefeld at the 17.07.2011, the show wasn't sold out any time and the area have place for 8-9000 people. The show was so empty, that you could walk easily to 2nd row even between the special guest and them. My idea is Australia, they tell all the time, their final tour would go over all continents and they haven't played their yet.

as I got aussi blood running through my vains ... to be honest I do not see that coming.

and to be honest if you talk about a show in germany, we are not talking about german fans attending in general. have you ever heared about the u2 shows in dublin for eg. when mostly people from all arround the world attend these shows and not irish people?

what I could imagine would be south america.

Didn't Rudolf do an interview about a month ago where he said they would announce the final concert date within about a month?

I don't think we have much longer to wait to find out what the last concert will be. Having it in Germany at the end of the year sort of makes sense, but I can see them also performing in many different countries for that final show. It's hard to say!

I would love to go to the Oberhausen concert though. Time to buy some lottery tickets! :)

yes he did, but this was at the beginning of march. We know that their won't be an open-air in germany in 2013, because Wacken will be the last one. I hope the last concert will be in germany, because I can't go to any other countries. But the arenas in Germany are too normal for an FInal-show like this.

I've read that this show will have an surprise-guest. Maybe an old member (Uli, Michael, Herman?) or another band they have worked with (Bon Jovi, Kiss ...?). Any ideas?

for everyone checking flights. do not book flights to weeze/düsseldorf that is an airport used by cheap airlines like ryan air in the middle of nowhere - you will find it very hard to get away and to there with public transport.

look for flights to düsseldorf airpot, cologne/bonn or dortmund who have an excellent public transport connection that will bring you direct in front of the arena in oberhausen!

In this city they mean. There have been a lot of trailers that say that and they mean the last show in that city, not the last show PERIOD.

People, I`m waiting for my salary to come and I`ll most probably book Oberhausen show - flights/tickets. I`ll go to Dortmund and then.. no idea, cause, I can book a train ticket not earlier than 3 months before the show/date this means September/October. So, anyones passing from Dortmund to Oberhausen  to take 2 Bulgarians  not criminals, not disturbing, quiet people  The problem is that the flight back Dortmund-Sofia is on 16th dec, early in the morning, so we should leave either after the show or very very very early in the morning on 16th, not to miss our flight. Or at least, if you have some idea if there are some midnight trains and how much (average) they cost  Thanks in advance..

Well the railway is very easy from dortmund to oberhausen. Maybe even I won't travel by car, because the Parking areas are far away from the hall. You would have to use the parkhouses of the Centro, but then you will have to walk through the whole centro and to find the car is very, very hard.

Yes, thanks! I`ve tried to check the railway prices, but when posting dates in december, website didn`t allow me, cause it`s too early to book tix for 4-5 monts ahead. I`m wondering about the prices, cause usually, around Christmas, flight tix prices are increasing, so I`m not sure if this happens to train tickets too..

Well, if you don't use the IC or ICE (this are the "faster-trains but it doesn't make sense to use them on this way) there is one ticket called NRW-Tarif this one costs 26€ at the station.
With this ticket you could travel both ways including the bus.

Aww, thanks a lot! Hope there are some midnight trains/buses! Are you going to Oberhausen? If I go, cause I`m still not 100% sure, you have a beer from me!
