North American Presale Information!

North American Presale Information!

Unread postby Scorplady » March 7th, 2012, 3:30 am

Okay everyone, it seems to me there is a lot of confusion concerning the Presale, sales and where to buy the tickets for the North American shows. So I'm making a list. If you find out anything about a show in your area, please post it here and I'll update it as fast as I can. This is going to be a long post - but full of good information I hope. I'll keep this first post edited and updated as I can.

Updated April 8th, 2012:

Presales Coming up:

San Antonio, Texas June 26th, 2012

Presale starts on Friday April 13th, 2012 @ 10:00am local time. Looks like a venue, radio station and Live Nation presale (which I assume you need their mobile app to purchase a presale ticket).

http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0C004883DA059E4C?artistid=736062&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1

From the arena map it doesn't look like there will be general admission pit tickets, so expect the whole VIP Packages that they have at most of the other shows.

I hope this helps! Good luck. :)

Ticket sales -

Originally when the concert dates were posted, the link brought you to Ticket Network - that is NOT the official ticket place. If you purchased your tickets with Ticket Network, you purchased them at a higher price and from a ticket broker/scalper. Please be aware that while most of those ticket brokers are legitimate, your tickets are never 100% guaranteed until you show up at the door and you are let in. :)

These are the official sites where to buy tickets so far:

Washington, DC - http://www.ticketfly.com
Las Vegas, NV - http://www.unlvtickets.com/eventInfo/spe/300/scorpions-with-special-guest-tesla/

(Please post here if you have another site and I'll add it)

Officially the rest seem to be listed at either http://www.livenation.com or http://www.ticketmaster.com (they are pretty much the same company so you do not need to go to both, you'll be automatically directed after you search.)

Okay I need to work on some of the colors to make it clearer, but I think that's a good start. If any of you know of what else I can add, please let me know.

Thanks and I hope it helps!

Personally...I am outraged and very concerned over this news. I followed the initial link and dropped 305.00 US Dollars on 2 Tickets and now you are telling me, 1. I paid too much? 2. I may not even get my tickets?
This is unacceptable...why was the link even posted? If I don't get my tickets and can't attend the show it will forever tarnish my opinion if the band. I want to know what's being done and what you will do if I do not get my tickets?? A very unhappy fan.

By the way...this was for the Shoreline in Mt. View Ca. This has turned my excitement into a very stress filled concern. How could someone be so irresponsible to post a bogus link to the fans??

The company said right on their site that they were a ticket broker, sorry to say but buyer beware. Lets hope you get you tickets.

Why would the link be posted in the first place??
One would assume that if it's posted here it would be a legitimate place for fans to buy tickets.

Sure...I guess I will just "hope" I get my tickets and if I don't lose out on 305.00 bucks...that's BS!

I would love to hear from other fans that may have the same concern.

Yeah - I don't know why they posted the link to a ticketbroker. That's up to the site owners. Back in September they had links to shows in France I think it was and they linked to viagogo.co.uk which is another ticket broker site. (My secret paranoia guess is that maybe they get revenue from people clicking on those links? :( ) Either way I agree completely - they shouldn't of been there in the first place.

I am just trying to help people out. As I said 99.999999% of the time those ticket brokers are fine and are legit (and if they are selling tickets before they actually go on sale officially, they are probably box seats and it's pretty much in your favor at that point). While you should always worry a little bit, I think you should be fine. Did you get paper tickets or are they sending you tickets? Much less worry if they send you the tickets.

What you can do is - when you get the tickets, if you get a chance go to the box office at the venue (if it's near where you live) and ask them if it's a valid ticket, they should be able to tell you. That way at least there are no surprises when you try to walk in the door the night of the show!

For which concert?

It all depends on the venue, for example Toronto has a General Admission floor area, while many other places do not.

Well, the tickets haven't gone on sale yet. It was just announced this morning that Montreal goes on sale on March 17th.

There is no mention of VIP Packages yet on the Bell Centre website, have you found out additional info somewhere else? Thanks! :)

Tickets for the Merriweather Pavilon go on sale this Friday (16th) at 10am. Does anyone know if there is going to be a pre-sale?
