They have been giving away tickets all week at 12 noon if you can answer a question concerning the Scorpions. Today's question was who did the Scorpions co-headline a tour of europe in 1975 with?? the answer was KISS. So i called in and answer this question live on the air. The DJ confirmed they are pavilion seats...

plus no presale and as of right now no meet and greet at Merriweather

WOOHOOO YOU GO SCOTT!! That is sooo cool. RAWK ON!!
I guess I should be listening to OUR rock station. :P But do you know that everyone under the sun, including Aerosmith in AUGUST is on commercials EXCEPT for Scorpions at our infamous Red Rocks???? What the hell is going on? Madonna is being announced and others, but not Scorps in JUNE!!! sigh.....I am so tired of the *** surrounding no promo for our boys.

It gets better after winning two tickets through 98 rock a few weeks ago. This past friday i won two more tickets through Big100 in the DC area after naming the Scorpions riff of the day. So i won 4 tickets and purchased 4 GA floor tickets the day they went on the sale.

Now for the rest of the crazy stuff. Looks like I'll have to rent a car. Bah!

yeah i got my 4 GA floor tickets Saturday in the mail.

Haha no I'm not leaving my job for a couple of weeks. Taking days off yes - not much choice. :)

I am going to the St. Petersburg concert, but besides that I will see 6 shows here in North America.

That's not following...that's umm shadowing! :)

Since you have extra tickets I am thinking about it. BTW Rolf and Toshiko have followed the band for mini tours.

We did it in 2004 and 2005.

Many great shows.

If you get the change you should do it.

If i could take time off and do it this year I would. Is Tesla the opener on the East COast......

You guys need to come to the first show in Reno to get it right.

Yes, these are my ultimate 2 different groups but for very different reasons. Well music is of course the central force, but they are both so different!

That is why I don't know how I will take it being at the Iron Maiden concert in Charlotte, NC and then flying to Los Angeles and seeing the Scorpions at the Staples Center the next night. It's going to be an emotional overload, lots of happy tears I guess.

But I'll also be conflicted, I'll be sitting on the plane after the Maiden show and thinking about how great it was, then a couple of hours later the Scorpions will be in front of me.

Emotional music trip for sure!

Are you serious! I'm seeing the Scorps in San Diego on June 20 and then seeing Iron Maiden in Charlotte the next night! I'm calling it my "rock and roll vacation." I live near Charlotte.

Haha that rocks! We'll have to compare notes about how it feels to see both of these groups one after the other!

I guess I'll see you in Charlotte for the first Iron Maiden show. :)

I'm seeing Maiden-Cooper June 30 in Bristow Virginia and then July 12 in Columbia Maryland..
