On-topic: SchenkerGirl, how come that you are so into who`s the decision maker in the band? I really can`t understand something. Fans, who are here non-stop, who don`t miss shows, who are devoted and loyal, who are with the band for many many years.. they do not share expert opinions as... who is the leader or not, or whatever info, nobody knows from first hand.. but you.. some people who are nothing more than haters.. How come that you know sooo much? How can you say who`s real Scorpion or now... It`s really strange for me..

If you just don`t enjoy their music, if you think that the band fools you or is (as somebody said pages ago)... too old to play .. why do you keep writing in this forum.. If you enjoy more MSG, TOR or whatever now Michael band is called.. just follow them, rock on their music and do not give no needed "expret" opinions of who`s who in the band I`m sorry if I sound too rude, but.. hello.. it`s the very last year.. We want to enjoy and have a good time in here, but not to "inhale" poisoned by rumors air!

I DO BELIVE THEIR WORDS, SINCE IN 2006 I REMEMBER (SURE THE SPANISH FANS AND ALSO ADRIAN REMEMBER) THERE WAS A GHOST SHOW SCHEDULED IN MADRID.

IT WAS SELLING TOO WELL, BUT SCORPIONS NEVER SIGNED IT.

WE KNEW IT ´COS ABOUT 2 WEEKS BEFORE WE MET THE GUYS (ROXANNE, ANDREA AND ME) AND THEY SAID THE WOULDN´T PLAY THERE AT ALL.

THOUGH WE TALKED WITH THE PROMOTERS OF THAT GHOSTO SHOW, ´COS THEY WERE STILL SELLING TICKETS, THE ANSWER WAS SCORPIONS WOULD LAY FOR SURE

WHAT WORD DID WE HAVE TO BELIEVE?

NO DOUBT FOR ME: SCORPIONS´ WORD

BUT SO MANY PEPLE BELIEVED THE PROMOTERS´ AND THE RESULT WAS THAT THE SAME DAY OF THE SUPPOSED SHOW THERE WAS A NOTE AT THE DOORS SAYING "SCORPIONS HAVE SUDDENLY DECIDED TO GO TO USA TO RECORD THE NEW ALBUM. ROLLING STONES FEVER HAS REACHED THEM TOO"

I MEAN, POMOTERS, AMONG WHICH WAS ALSO THE COUNCIL TOWN, ANNOUNCED A SHOW THAT WAS NEVER SIGNED AND ONLY SAID IT WON´T TAKE LACE WHEN ALL THE CREW WERE THERE.

THIS WAY, THE VILLAGE GOT A LOT OF TOURISM; PEOPLE THAT WENT THERE AND HAD TO SLEEP AND EAT THERE..

You all know that there will be haters in the world but its the haters who also follow our most wonderful SCORPIONS! without the haters their popularity would not grow so ignore their opinions because I know that the Scorps still love all of humanity even those that have done wrong to them and what they do is avoid them and that is what we must do lets not let any negativity spoil our love to the "Greatest Rock Band" in all of America and Germany! Yes it is wonderful YNWA that there is still new fans for Scorps some that are new to their music and it is sad that they will be retireing this year. I have got my grandchildren 3 yrs and 5 yrs singing "Wind Of Change", "Send Me An Angel", "Still Loving You", "You and I" and so many others and I wish Scorps would not retire and live on forever. I would love to attend the concert in L.A. CA, but I have no funds for a ticket so I follow on You Tube by what the fans post their videos and Facebook social network that is my only form of following them and also this forum. I was hoping to purchase a T-shirt from this website but from what I understand american dollars are not accepted? Does anyone know about that? We cannot purchase these same items here in the USA or do they sell these at their concerts ? Does anyone have a FB link I can link on to for more pics and info on this awesome band SCORPIONS!! ...Love to all!

after hundreds of concerts, with each and every show performed just like a well oiled machine, we gave it all every nite...we came to Nancy in France...and boom, out goes the lights! Who's to blame? As you all know, we always like to share the stage with some of our dear friends when it is agreed upon in advance. The show in Nancy went downhill because the promoter of that show wanted to milk 'The Nite To Remember' concept one last time without any approval from band and management!! We understand the way you feel about that show and feel very sorry for our die hard fans who came from all over Europe to Nancy expecting something we were not aware of?!?! Thank-you for all the love and support...we hope we can make up for it one way or another! Regarding James' performance in Nancy...please see his personal statement... We are looking very much forward to seeing all of our family, friends, & fans when we are back in Europe in the fall! keep on rocking, The Scorpions!

I appreciate the James part, he is a great musician and a nice guy, in all the shows I've been to, he alway surprised me, and well he is a professional, but everyone can have one bad night. I am ok with that.

This is just a few thoughts, I didn't go to Nancy and I do not know the story as well as people who went there might know it

But I will list the things I find... strange

- The scorpions say they were not aware that there was a reunion show planned...

1st- I am sorry is just don't get it, what kind of manager they have that signs for a regular show, and let the promoters anounce it as a reunion show.
If the show was anounced as a reunion a few days before the day of the concert I would believe neither the band neither the management could know about it, but c'mon there was advertisements everywhere since months ago...

2nd: So the scorpions did not know about it... but... why Uli Jon Roth knew about it or Herman Rarebell or Michael Schenker? and you could read on their websites: farewell show in france with scorpions and things like that.

3rd: If there was no reunion planned why did they play with Uli?? and why they did not play with Herman who also was there?? ( I cannot imagine something so unusual like "hey Uli you're here too? lets play together" from a band like the scorpions that nowadays don't do anything more that the "normal show", I mean nothing like jamming and that do even the same movements and faces almost everyshow, songs played always identically show after show etc).

4th: I remember having read here that someone talked with Herman & Michael and they said they were happy to play once again with the scorps...

5th: Why Michael Schenker was announced, and then, went down of the advertisement? ... Is not suspicious that the ones who did not play with them were Herman & Michael?


You know I love this band as much as you do, but I cannot agree with everything they say or do, and I just cannot believe the meassge they left here.

lets hope the farewell tour gets better, I still have hopes.

Diego ! You expressed my feelings , word to word !!! However devoted fan a person is, however much he or she loves the band, you should TRY at least to stay objective. The minute Gegers wrote his post, I told him how much I agreed with his words and your post goes along the same lines. I do agree, 100% !

Like I have told to some fans already, I am being more de-scorpionized during this last 6 months or so, so I do apologize for my negative posts, too, but I have never been blinded with passion,either. I may have had my waves of unquestionable admiration for Klaus, but it's like another issue altogether. Nothing stops me from listening to the songs I love so much, singing with the familiar tunes and lyrics ! Can't prevent my heart from missing a beat when 'We'll burn the sky' starts....

But! When I look at the band from a distance, and although I admire their professionalism and the fitness of the 'triangle' , I can find myself questioning their choices and the motives behind those choices. To say the least, the halos above their heads have definitely fallen down. To me, they are a band well disciplined, good professionals in their own field , but something is not right. I repeat : bad vibes

Yes, Lenita... Diego and I we've been talking a lot this week-end about the message of the Scorpions and you can see in Diego's post what we're thinking... It makes no sense that they were not aware of this show?!

I must say that this year.... I begin to lose some feelings I had for them. I still love their music and how they're but it looks like more distant right now

And, it has not so much to do with this topic but... in April I was going to one of their concert which was cancelled due to Klaus' illness. I don't say that I don't believe that he was ill but it has been a surprise when the same day of that concert, more date in France appeared .... and they're taking place just after the 4 concerts that they postponed And what has been hard it was that we had no explanation from anybody. We just reveived an e-mail from the promoter saying that the concert was postponed.... I was expecting something more

I'm still going to Munich, but I must say that I'm more happy to go to visit the city and to meet a lot of you than to go to the Scorpions' concert himself.

You can't forget a band that you're listening to for years and that also changed things in your life.... but now it has like an another image in my heart

-> The 'reunion concert' was never announced on Michael's website, so I also thought it was suspicious from the start...
And I'm glad there are others around here feeling 'bad vibes'... That's what I meant when I said they're too old... I wanted to say that the passion, the fire is gone. I don't believe there is a group of 5 playing, I only see 5 individuals, having each of them their own show...
And yes, I'm a huge Michael Schenker fan. Perhaps it's time for the Scorps to do as he does now: only the music is what counts, no fireworks or explosions are needed. I believe the fire can come back when they allow themselves to go back to basics.

i don't know if what the band wrote is tru at 10% or if there's something hidden behind their words.
i always try to think and to put myself in the opposite sides and regarding band's message and Diego's post.......i can understand both point of view.

1-the show of the band was good, but not James's performance.......but at least we received his apologizes, and i think this is a great gesture.
2-the guests in nancy.........well......the poster of the show was clear, "family reunion"........but in the official website nothing official's been posted (but this happened for Wacken 2006)
3-guests WERE in Nancy..........so.....promoters said "half true" about it
4-Michael Schenker was missing....... there was no date about this concert in his official website.

so, my final thought is......for the point 1, everyone an do a mistakes, he's been a great person to admit his mistake, now let's hope he will repeat it no more.
about point 2-3-4........maybe the band is right to say that there was no agreement for a family reunion and that promoters wrote it to sell more tickets.
I don't believe that the band and the mangaer didn't know about the presence of the guests there, this is impossible!!!!!!!
what's very strange is that......... by the moment they were all there.....why to let Uli to play just one song......and don't let the others to be on stage with them? i think for the "friendship" and for the fans, management could do something more.......but from this point of view i'm thinking like a fan, and don't knowing how the business/contracts/music world works...........

It saddens me and disappoints me to hear so many negative opinions on our SCORPIONS by dedicated fans, since I am so new to this forum I only know little about their history as far as the shows and concerts. I will agree although on the concept of being physically tired because on several of the videos posted I can see the physical wear and tear on the band members which is caused by their dedication to performing for their fans, jet lag and physical demand. You must see the overall picture that the Scorps have been on tour since 2010 and the absence of being with family and their loved ones is a factor also. You cannot compare them to the younger generation since they are not as youthful as they once were but for a group in their 50's and 60's they still Rock On. As for the concert in Nancy we still dont know what truly occured and can only speculate and I think things happened behind stage and Scorpions will only tell us what they want us to know only to protect us, our love for them and for their on going good reputation which they wish to continue having with all their fans and the public eye. Klaus did say they wish to retire while they are on top of things and I am sure their commitment to keeping their fans and the public happy is part of their goals, so I say place yourselves in the position they are in, scheduled concerts, interviews, meeting with fans, directors, promotors, management, amongst lack of sleep, missing family, and the so many other demands of life and then expect them to perform just the way you would like it! Give them a break! Of course they are performers and regardless of the circumstances they are doing their best to create a "night to remember" and I am sure they are aware of those nights when they didn't deliver what the fans expected so we dont know about all the loose strings all the time and they go from show to show trying their best for us. I see by the reviews here in the USA that they appear to have a renewed energy and are keeping the fans on their toes jumping and head banging so the raves are great, the possiblities of having a opening group could have lessened the pressure of dealing with who will perform with the group, what special appearances and the line up that may have caused some bad vibes for the group could of also been a factor on their performance but overall I still feel that credit is due to the Scorps for such dedicatiion to their fans and those of us that love them so much! Where will you ever find such music and lyrics as they have given us this music is forever inbedded in our hearts and I love it, I will take it to the grave with me. I still have hopes in going to their concert in Los Angeles, CA time is passing quickly as I write this they are between shoes in Denver & Albequerque and will soon be here, I am hoping to get blessed with a ticket and a ride and if not so well I'll have their videos to watch, this would be my one and only opportunity to see them, it would be my dream come true and thanks Gabi for sharing this dream with me.......
