You made no mistake.....as another name for donkey is ass....those of us who speak English understood very well what you were saying and took no offense to it what so ever....however another word for bum, behind, rear end, bottom, or the thing you sit on is also called an ass in english.....
It all depends on how the word is used in regards to its meaning....and since you were talking about an animal and not a body part....you used the word perfectly....![]()
