The Lyon's Public was shy because a lot of people came see Scorpions just for "still loving yoy" and wind of change" so they are quite until this song and when this song arrive they are sleeping because it's a lot of 40-50 years old mother who never came in a Rock N roll concert. Shame on the Radio who broadcast only SLY and WOC in France.

Scorpions Truck see the first Row in front of the advanced of the stage you will see the French Crazy Fan and me In Paris and Rouen.

I hope A great Audience for the all French tour but the best audience will be in Paris I think.

I know three kinds of France. First there is France itself, the country and all the countless cities and villages with wonderful landscape and real nice and open hearted people.
Then there are tow other kinds I dicovered in France, it is Paris and Lyon....
Both cities are different to the France I´ve described above. Paris first of all is a nightmare to travel there by car or even tougher if Ya have to go downtown by truck. Paris natives are thinking they are something above all other french people and they do not forget ever to let strangers know it. The way they do this is sometimes a little bit arrogant cuz they think that the louvre and the Tour Eiffel is France. France is much more than this.
In Lyon its almost the same. Lyonnaise people try to be above all other french regions but at the end of a day starngers find out that Lyon is just another city in France, beautiful but not the only interesting nice place in the country.
To discover the true France You have to go to the countryside as well like the Bretagne, the Alpes, visit the Camargue, get amazed about the astonishing Val d´Ardeche, see the city of Reims with the marvellous cathedral and enjoy the number one beverage of the country, champagne. There are countless other attractivities
My favourite city here in France is doubtless Marseille the melting pot of nations, a bit crazy but very open minded

Dear all,

In order to make your own opinion regarding Lyon's gig, I selected a couple of links giving an idea of the crowd involvement at the Halle Tony Garnier on Monday. I saw the Scorpions in Lyon way back during the Love At First Sting tour and also during the Savage Amusement tour. I even saw them earlier in 1982 during the Blackout tour in Saint-Etienne. It is true that the French public has changed since, but there are still crazy fans here. Anyway, my intention is not to create controversy, so as I said please make your individual judgement from the following videos. What I felt was genuine happiness on the Boys' face in front of a large audience

Speaking for myself, I was jumping and singing like a maniac during most of the show, positioned first row on the left in front of Rudolf. In my opinion, highlight was Dynamite. The Zoo was great too. The Best Is Yet To Come was moving. Obviously Coast To Coast was fantastic as well, but for this song it is better to be located on the stage overhang, same thing for the pyramid later on during the show. Maybe I'll try this area in Montpellier on Sunday.

I will also attend Paris concert, and I will do my best to post a more articulate review of these dates next week.

For the time being, enjoy!

I totally agree with Sirokuma, at least it is individual for everybody how a crowd was at a concert. I am in the lucky position to be able to compare different shows cuz I nearly see them all.
All I posted here was my own impression I had as well as what I wrote about France itself.

Technically there is just one way to measure it, by using a db meter.
Front of house engineer uses such a db meter on every show, so from today on I will ask him every night how many decibel the crowd made when screaming for the encores. The more decibel the louder the crowd.
I´ll post this db´s than here and everyone can see how loud (crazy) fans have been.
I am far away from the idea of any kind of a controvers discussion and I really do not wanna upset any of the fans in which city ever we are playing.

You've right France is not only Paris, Lyon, Marseille... if you like the Cathedral of Reims you Must have to visit the cathedral of Rouen and the "Road of the gros Horloge" with a Hudge Horloge/Clock in gold. Pretty Amazing ^^
So if you Need a guide to visit Rouen don't hesit it will be an honor for me to make a visit of my birth city to you and the Screwpions ^^

The show is over just a few minutes and all I can say:
Yes that was a show that was an audience.
Zenith Omega Toulon rocked, amazing crowd good vibes from the fans to the stage and back and therefore not four encores, the band played five!!

Additional to the set list the last song tonite was: We will burn the sky

THX a lot and au revoir Toulon

Now the countdown for Toulouse begins with T minus 9 hrs 29 mins.
Within this time we have to tare down the entire equipment, load it to the trucks and drive 470km to Toulouse for load in at the Zenith 09:00am

AWESOME

wow wow wow, Incredible show tonite !!!!! The Band was absoluty great !
And the crowd too :D

The band "killed" me at the end when they came back after "When the smoke" to play "We'll burn the sky", one of my favorite song. It was a great gift for my 60th show, even if the band didn't knew it

See you tomorrow Ben

Ben, Del,
I like reading your objective aspects about countries, and shows.

Vov Del, the 60th show, it is superb!
Thank you for your honest reviews, I won't mind your notes in the future evenif you sometimes see the band "as robots" on the stage.

Hope to meet you in person the next year.

Sometimes you need perfect days, too.

Have a nice rest Ben, and another great show.
Finally at the moment 2/1 on the side of the great shows in France, and it is not bad.

Gabi I guess at the end there´s gonna be a score of 7:2 in France seven great on es and two less good ones considering the audience

Could not say it was a perfect day yesterday or better said last nite. After load out I started the trip to Bordeaux when suddenly the truck engine didn´t get fuel no more. Of course I had filled it up earlier before so the only possible reason was dirt in the filters. Had to stop, tilt the cabin to get access to the fuel ignition system where the filters are fixed and both where totaly full with dirt and mud. First I had no clue why than I detected that the lid of the fuel-tank itself was gone so all dust and dirt came into the tank and the filters was blocked. I had to change filters to go further on finding a service station where I can pump out all fuel from the tank, clean it inside and refill. All this took me about three hrs and of course I reached Bordeaux right in time for the rush hour. Here it was again, my beloved Murphy´s law....
No need to mention that of course this venue here is downtown.

Its getting more and more a habit that "nice" people are trying to open fuel tank lids to mug fuel out of the trucks. Even if there are lockable lids available, muggers are experts how to unlock it. They need just seconds to open the lid, put a tube into the tank and start to pump fuel out. I dream about the day where I see someone doing this on my truck, the last that bastard will see in his life is a squaremeter of bullets approaching really quick. Come on muggers, make my day!!!!
