Yeah, it would be cool; however, this rumor first surfaced on this message board at the end of January, and apparently nothing has come of it.

This tour is not happening. Someone on Van Halen site read this rumor on our site. I was the one posted that rumor. And when Van Halen wasted their time doing their new studio CD everything was pushed back to later this year. The Scorps were willing to do a tour with Van Halen if it was during August and September this year but Van Halen was not going to be done with their new CD in time. So that ended any possible chance of a Scorps/Van Halen tour this year..

Here's to hoping it might happen in 2012!!!!

The latest rumor now has a Van Halen-Ozzy Osbourne European tour this Fall..

I for one am glad a Scorpions/Van Halen tour is not happening. I like both bands ... no I like Van Halen and LOVE the Scorpions. There is no such thing as "co-headliners" and if VH is closing every show, the Scorpions should play as an opener for NO ONE!!!

There are co-headline tours...If both bands play the same amount of time then it's a co-headline tour. Both bands make the same amount of money. Yes if this tour takes place outdoors then yes the play going on first gets very few lights and the band closing gets their whole show with lights. Back in 2003 Aerosmith and Kiss did a co-headline tour with Aerosmith closing all shows. But KISS did 85 minutes to Aersomith 80 minutes. When this tour moved indoors then both bands got the same amount of lights and stage production

With this being the farewell tour then yes the Scorpions should not be going on first..but if the Scorps want to win over more fans a tour with Van Halen would boost their popularity in our country. And maybe that would set them up for a great 2012 farewell year in front of packed arenas and amphitheaters across our country. Because right now they can not do this on their own.
