Aha, I would have hoped a similar event in June in my area, but I bet, this dream always will remained just a dream.

Ookay, but I will see the band at least twice evenif without Uli.
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

Hopefully something will be decided soon

Thanks for sharing Ashley

The Scorpions turned down the Donnington/Download festival this year after they were told they would not be headlining any night..if lucky they would of been 3rd or 4th on the bill..

Where did you hear this Scott?
If true I am happy that they turned down a UK festival. I have no intentions of seeing them play at some windswept, mud drenched festival. For one thing I'm a little too long in the tooth to be doing festivals now

I want to see the Scorpions do a show of their own, or not at all.

Some promoters in england told me this fact....The Scorps are not big enough in the UK in 2011 to be headlining Download and that was their exact words to me..So they were offered the same night as Def Leppard but 3rd on the bill and the Amend turned it down..

sadly I think it's true that they're very out of fashion here (I've lost count of the number of times I have to explain that Wind of Change isn't the only song they ever recorded  & a friend's teenage son dismissed them out of hand as "just stadium rock" ) but I hope that they could still fill mid size venues easily - if they're prepared to do that?

and I too am far too old to go back to the pure hell of a UK festival  unless there's no alternative
