The Today show would have been perfect when they stopped in New York
The band needs better promotion

Tom, I have suggested to MJ that they need to hit the TV show circuit; Today Show on the Plaza (I am soooo sick of seeing Bon Jovi), Jimmy Fallon and Carson Daly; who does a really unique show with combining interviews and them playing LIVE in a concert setting!
But, what do WE know, eh? We're just ignorant fans who don't know anything about what is good for the band!!

Well the Scorpions are going to be on Rockline December 15..that will be twice in one year maybe they will hit Leno or Conan or George Lopez show when they stop off for this show..

groaaannnn, I can hear it now...same old questions asked that everybody already is sick of hearing. Are you playing such and such a place next year? are you really retiring? is this really ur last album? what are you going to do when you retire? blah blah blah .
I'd like to hear a hard hitting question, such as why have you ignored us for so long? What's up with keeping on a manager who just about destroyed your fame here? What's up with lack of promo with radio and other media? etc etc

The Scorps could be still popular in the highest means worldwide had this last cd had ..
At least 2 decent mtv / vh1 videos
More then one single with more airplay .
Appearances on USA tv ,, like Ellen .. Tonite Show .. The Today Show ..
and this all goes back to 93 when all this just went away .. and whos the main reason for this besides management ...

Well Ted/Monica are no longer commenting on this site..and that is a shame even though they were very critical about the management of the Scorpions they were also 100% correct on everything they said..

Well said...no promotion means Sting in the Tail is already out of the stores here in North America. Except for one copy at each Best Buy...so unless things change this so called USA tour next summer will not be successful..you can only use the retirement card once and next year the retirement statement will wear off and all of the bandwagon fans that came to see them in concert this past summer will not see them next year or in 2012..So let's go back to promoting the band and trying to getting some new songs on the radio..and yes a video from Sting in the Tail on VH1 classic would be a great idea..

I get sooooo sick of seeing Bon Jovi EVERY*FREAKIN*WHERE on TV. Commercials, Today Show (which btw was today AND earlier this summer), etc etc. I can't get away from them. AND YET, they learned to perform from none other than our SCORPIONS!!!! Sambora did the talk box because of Matthias doing it first. Today when they were playing on the Today Show, Richie did an MJ lick. I swear I replayed it over and over and it was so Matthias it made me sick!! Yes, Sambora admires Matthias very much and bought the Gold Mastercaster from him at the store, but for him to be more famous then his "mentor" is a damn shame. They all need to be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen. That's not a slam, just fact. So nobody misunderstand. I am just calling it like it is.

Cristy...Even though you are sick of Bon Jovi...Jon is a great business man..one of the best..So you can't fault him or the band for great promotion...If the Scorpions would of been paying the USA attention from 1994-2010 and not did half ass tours of our country they would still be a huge band here..So they have no one to blame but themselves for this huge mistake..Look Priest,Maiden,Bon Jovi,Crue,AC/DC,Aerosmith and many other bands are bigger then the Scorps these days because they all have great management and all of them love the USA...

Yeah I don't fault Jon for this, cuz I agree, it's their management and his business sense that has gotten them this far. I still am sick of seeing them tho. ha!

And like I said, Scorps should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this. Do you know that MJ is brilliant, but has not had to do promo on his own with the band and the promo they have had as Scorps has sucked, so that I don't wonder that the promo for MJ Guitars isn't so great.

AMEN!! I always say that because of Scorpions, Bon Jovi became soo big. If corpions wouldnt notice them back in the middle 80s, nobody would ever know of Bon Jovi.
But we all have to admit that management of Scorpions SUCKS with a very big S!! Look what stadiums AC-DC, Bon Jovi etc are playing!! Scorpions cant do that anymore since 1994!! Why?? HAIL HAIL MR AMEND! and previous bad managers!
Its their last tour, I guess they could do more than they have done over past 16 years!! Come on guys!! WAKE UP!!!!! "Scorpions" are not a houshold name anymore!!
