Last Ever Tour to Asia Announced

While still in the process of booking and selling out dozens of new dates in Europe, North- and South-America, Scorpions have announced their last ever tour to Asia. As part of the "Get Your Sting and Blackout World Tour" the band will be touring the Asian continent in February 2011. Klaus Meine explains: 'Throughout our career we have always loved to play in the Asian countries and to its diverse cultures and people. When we announced our final World tour earlier this year, fanmail started flowing in from Japan to Jakarta from Abu Dhabi, India and the Pacific Rim States and so it is a logical step for us to visit all those beautiful countries one last time and to celebrate with our fans.

Finally, the tour in Asia is announced!

I wish the Scorpions will tour till next July.
But they know how summer is like in Japan so I don't think they want to stay that long.

Did you want to say our town's name? If so, it is Yamaguchi, not Yakazumi.
Yes, you can sleep in the front room of our house...wait...we don't have a front room. The front room is the kitchen.
I hope the Scorpions will tour at least Two shows in Tokyo and one or two shows in Osaka.
It will be wonderful if they hold the show in Tokyo Dome, but their first show was held at Nakano Sun Plaza so the place would be nice, too.
Hiroshima will be really great for them even it can be smaller than Tokyo or Osaka because Hannover and Hiroshima are the sister cities.

I am speaking about the Shinkansen.

The Nozomi is the one you can not buy a Japan rail pass on. ( I call it the Yakazumi)
I can show you the sign in Tokyo station as my reference why.
Big bucks but very fast.
So I was hopping the Scorpions would do shows along the train route.

I have been on the Asama it runs from Nagano to Tokyo.
Toki goes to Nagita.

Just need some Suntory Premuim malt, Cold Saki and the SCORPIONS>

Well, the Scorpions' 2004 tour was held in 4 different places(Tokyo two times), but I don't know this time.
They used Shinkansen in 2004.
Shinkansen is really expensive...

You traveled around Japan more than we did, George.
I like Suntory's whiskey, too.
We have wheat liquor called "Kojo No Tsuki" that you may want to try.

I went once to Kainosawa, Japan and took the Owner of Yakiwa chucks mountain climbing.
He has a picture on me on his wall. I am one of the greatest of all time.

I have a magazine which has the Scorpions photo in Hokkaido back in 80's and it was the time of the snow festival there, but I think the Scorpions want to get out of cold weather so Okinawa may be a good place to take them.

Can't wait for the Asian leg of the tour and hopefully they will still come to Australia.

Even if they do come hear we are planning on a holiday to go to at least one of the other Asian gigs. Would love that to be Japan, but they may be a bit expensive to take the kids to......

Hi Ozwrathchild, I still believe the Scorpions will visit Australia, too. I hope it will happen soon.
There is possibility that the Scorpions will stop by Korea. but things weren't so cheap in Korea anymore when I visited there in 2007. I don't have much knowledge about other Asian countries, but I hope you will be able to find the best trip for you and your son.

Hi Phuong, I'm sorry I spelled your name wrong again. I can't remember where it was, but last time the Scorpions visited some Asian countries, one place had a huge M&G before the show. I heard there were 100 people there to meet the band in person.I wish Japanese promoter is that way, but unfortunately it is not that generous.

Now I know what I will be doing the entire month of February...carrying my wife's bag in one hand and shaking the hands of Scorpions' fans with the other!

My first ever Scorpions' show was in Fukuoka, Japan. And the rest is history. That one show was more than enough to get me off my rear and get me to go to more of their shows. If I had missed that show, I would have missed out on a lot...meeting wonderful people from all parts of the world, listening to great music, and seeing a band who treat their fans right!

Life just can't get any better...

Congrats on Asia tour. It would be wicked to go to Japan to see a Scorpions concert. Mmmmmmm heading towards Australia. It will be nice and hot here in Adelaide in Febuary.

hooo finally the fabled continent on earth may get its wish to see scorpions, but big question remains will they come to "asia" for real or just japan????
