Never been to a Scorpions concert before...

Unread postby Kondrath » March 31st, 2010, 8:55 pm

I'm planning to see the Scorpions in NJ, NY, or MD. I've never gone to a real concert before, so I don't know what to expect. How much am I expected to pay for a decent ticket that's not a million miles from the stage? Are cameras allowed? I have one of those "pro" looking Nikons, so I suspect that the answer is a no.

Also, what are the odds of them playing Still Loving You? That's the whole reason I'm going

From the setlists, it seems like it's only an encore song. But it's the Scorpions, so I'm sure they always receive encores...

Haha, thanks.

If that's true, I'll go to all three depending on prices. Ticket master needs to hurry it up...

The highest priced tickets for the WA. show is only $35 so it shouldn't be too bad.

No way, that's awesome! I've never been to a concert, so I was expecting to spend like $70-$90

Looks like I'll be taking some friends along, then.

I'm so excited. June can't come any sooner...

It's probably not very realistic, but does the band take the time to interact with the fans after the concerts are finished?

The only way you'll get to meet them is if you win a contest or buy a VIP package for $175. If you really want VIP bad enough, go here: http://www.iloveallaccess.com/# Or listen to your local rock stations and see if they're running contests.

Hey!

Welcome to the club!

I'm going to all three of the above :) Maybe I'll see you there!

Concert tickets for those shows should be between $30 - $65!

It will depend on the venue.

For example tickets for this venue in WA: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0F004 ... norcatid=1 are 20 - 35!

And they usually always play Still Loving You!

Encore songs are always played usually! This tour they are doing Wind of Change! I missed that last tour in the US they didn't play it :(

I really wish they would add No One Like You!!!!!!!!

Yes, they always play it. Last year, at one of their concerts in Greece, when they played the whole setlist -even the encores with Still loving you-, I got sooo sad because I realized it was over... and then... Klaus and Matthias talked about something on stage, Klaus turned around, grabbed the microphone and shouted "Greece, there's NO ONE LIKE YOUUUUUUUUU" and they played it!!!!!! I was speechless!!!
Don't give up hope

Scorpions concerts are great!

Here two tickets of Scorpions concerts that I've seen.

First one: 02/02/1989 - Scorpions + Vixen - Milano, Italy.

You are SO in for a FANTASTIC concert experience!!! I've seen them half dozen times and have NEVER been dissappointed!!! Price depends on the venue,.. (not including "scalped" tickets..) but legally priced/sold tickets probably will run no less than $40 up to $80 (again.. through normal ticket channels/not scalping sites).. I don't think I've ever had to pay more than $80/ticket. Most places WON'T let you take a "regular" camera in ... not saying you can't slip one by.. but that's your call... (they might confiscate it - or make you leave it in your car) .. ... of course camera-phones don't apply (then again.. they're not the "best quality" photos..) MOST DEFINITELY they will play "Still Loving You".. don't think they've ever NOT played it... would'nt be a "true" scorps concert if they didn't!!!! Go,.. Enjoy.. and BE STUNG!

Uh-oh, you need to take a vaccine before you go to your first concert of the Scorpions because once you get stung, there is no cure.
Look, what happened to me.
I think WHO is very anxious about this poison.
You might want to save more money and prepare for more shows because there is very high possibility that you can't get enough.

YEAH, if only they weren't retiring :(

But I'm still very thankful I'll see them at least once before they call it quits.

Same here.

They've only been to Toronto like 4 times since I've been in Canada ( 95 ).

I missed them in Ottawa 3 years ago because of schedule but I'm definitely hyped right now.

The ticket prices are modest, so it's great and a can't miss.

It does agitate me how U2 can charge $200 for their tickets, they don't compare to Scorpions but then again it's cheaper for me.

I don't go to many concerts because the bands I like are from the 80s and don't tour much, I saw Dokken afew years back in the United States and the tickets cost $25.
