this forum is becoming a mess

I'm sure all of you noticed, that this forum here, especially the general discussion is becoming a mess.
Ok, it's nice when new friends come to this site, but I have a feeling that they read somewhere the rules of the forum would be:
"first: go to the general discussion and open a thread to a thing that is already discussed"
My suggestion is to make a (fixed) announcement on each board with rules, just like on the Def Leppard site.

I agree that, sometimes, it's such a mess in the General Discussion... I even don't feel like reading the comments because I know I'll read 10 times the same questions

I don't know if it works here, all I can say is that it works there. It's just a suggestion, but why not, when it's fixed on the top of each board and named 'read this first' or something like that.

No offense, but saying that we don't know whether people will read it is like saying "we don't think that absent-minded people will pay attention to the traffic lights in the roads, so don't put any".
Of course we don't know whether they will read and follow it, but it would be for sure better than nothing.

By the way, let me ask a simple question... As far as I know (please, anybody, correct me if I'm wrong), only Wolfgang & Sherry have here moderator's rights. The forum is bigger and bigger, and getting more and more messy sometimes, so why there's no bigger mod-team here? It seems to be a little too much for two people check all the topics, merge ones which are repeating, delete spam, and do all the stuff moderators should do. Maybe it won't be a bad idea to use some help? (If this question was already answered - sorry, but as I looked up some topics connected with this, I didn't find the answer to my question. )

Generally speaking: you are right. Sherry (ladies first!) and Wolfgang are the ones who are doing the job. But on here are two more moderators. One with the name tscorps, but it seems he hasn't been on here for a long time and ... the Scorpions themselves.
Btw. in their statistics you can read they have posted about 15 times on here, but it seems they deleted their posts.
More moderators: I guess we all know, other forums usually have more moderators, there are also moderators for different boards, but ... in comparison to maybe some other forums the people here are quite peaceful.

And also, I have a feeling, that Wolfgang is involved with the technical side of the site, and Sherry is the only one who is in charge with reading all the topics and posts and to get them organized. MUCH TOO MUCH for one person as we can see - I´m referring to the chaos with so many topics that have to do with the new cd etc. - unless you are glued to your pc all the time..

I really don´t like to see any forum member acting like forum police here, we shouldn´t be the ones doing that..

It´s not specifically related to the subject , but has anyone wondered what it will be of us, once the Scorpions had ceased their activity as a band ?
