Ok, here’s my review:

The journey began for me at 7:00 am because I wanted to be 12.00 at the venue as Ron suggested. Unfortunately I realized when I was already on my way that I forgot the most important thing for this day – my mobile phone, so I drove back and finally arrived one hour later at the venue as promised. When I was still on my way the phone began to ring – sorry, I don’t know who called me. I just said that I will arrive soon and I thougt I heard something like ‘Guiness’ (was the caller in a pub?).
When I finally arrived at the Gruga Halle some of our friends have already been there, especially Delphin, Camäleon and Foot. That was somehow funny, most of the time when we were talking with each others we used our forum’s nicknames. Ok for me that made no difference.
For me it had been a strange feeling. The last time I went to the Gruga Halle is now more than 20 ago and I can remember it as if it was yesterday.
Some words about the Gruga Halle. This venue might not be the biggest and finest in germany. Meanwhile we have some real big arenas, for example in Cologne the Kölnarena or in Hamburg the Colorline arena.
But about in the 80s it was the german venue for concerts. This means the Gruga Halle is a real traditional venue.
Back to the story: The next persons that arrived have been Stormrockschenker (Bean) and a friend (Teen?) came with a really small british flag. The next one was Sean and his wife. Sean had been the day before in Ludwigsburg and showed us his photos. One of the girls went crazy when she saw a photograph of Matthias – it seems to be the same everywhere.
Vladimir came with his big professional camera and he wondered the whole afternoon if he would manage to get it into the venue (so did I) and he told some nice stories of other concerts where he could take it with him but wasn’t allowed to photograph. Foot was obviously cold, even he was warm dressed. I wondered why and then he told me that there where he lives they have 29°C in the moment. At that moment I had to think of our greek friends who were burnt in the Athens sun this summer. And I asked myself if I should oil my skin – but only that the water from the rain could better flow off. No, it wasn’t raining that much, but it was quite cold and the time was long. We had a lot of time – and it was nice for me to get to know all of you.
Ron found out where the cars and especially the Scorps arrived at the venue, so we went there and Ron fixed the flags at a fence. Before the access of the venue was a cross bar and we saw you couldn’t deal with its keeper. Quite a lot cars came there and the people inside (maybe just pretended – I don’t know) they would work for someone in the venue. But the keeper nearly let nobody in. Uli Roth was one of them. He stood for quite a while with his Volvo in front of the bar. Maybe Ron knows more about it – he was running around there and tortured everyone who looked as if he could have something to do with the concert with his questions.
As I already said, my mobile phone was the most important thing this afternoon. Everytime it rang I had the honour to say that we were standing in front of the Gruga Halle and that was were the most of us have been. Elton somewhen decided to go something to eat, then he dedided to stay und suddenly disappeared. When he ran off he told something to me like ‘my wife, my wife !! – that’s important’ and he was gone. That was the last thing I heard from him for the moment.
Somewhen Matthias arrived at the venue (you can see it in the photos) in an Audi A8 limousine – here the keeper made no problems, and a little later Klaus. But I have no photographs of Klaus, I mean no good ones, he stands behind some security guys.
Ok, let’s get to the concert. In the venue I met Elton who stood in the first row in the middle and Ron on the right – the Matthias – side. I stood a little more in the back together with Sean and his wife and Any and her husband. You can see it here where we have been:
Watch on youtube.com
(at 2:01)
On ‘send me an angel’ you can see Any with the Russian flag. She was sitting on the shoulder of her husband. At the beginning of this concert Natka was also with us but she decided to go more to the front.
The band that opened for the Scorpions had the name ‘orange but green’ and after I visited their website I really expected the worst. And I was surprised – they were really not bad. Especially their rock version of ‘born to be alive’, the Patrick Hernandez Disco classic.
(
Watch on youtube.com
- don't turn the speakers too loud, the sound is terrible)
But the singer complained about the people on the seated places and at the last song he went of the stage to these places in order to wake them up.
Ok, about the Scorps show is not much to say, I guess you all saw the videos. We had pyros, sparkler, fireworks and confetti. The only thing that was missing was ‘Kamelle’
Kamelle, the Scorps kütt !!!
During the concert Sean, Any and me rocked our asses of, and Sean’s wife looked the whole time a little confused at us, and maybe she thought ‘Oh, that are for sure just two too high grown little boys’.
During the show had been some changes in comparison to the other shows. I'll post them here when they come to my mind. This time there were no go-go girls (in the Metal Hammer they were called 'Tanzmädels') - instead there have been some girls on the videoscreen. I think that's was a good idea unless the girls are not Alice Cooper and his band. I still can remember the girls that were something like the cheerleader of the Hötensleben tigers or the 1.F.C Hötensleben.
Did I read that James was ill on friday? After Kottak attack he had serious problems to drink the beer and I really wondered why - it would have been a pleasure for me to help him (my throat was really dry at this time)
As you can see partly on the photos during the show Klaus took most of our flags on stage, for example you can see him with the belgium flag. And he tried to arrange them on the drumkit, but that didn't work because at least two flags fell down.

After the concert I saw Wolfgang Dziony passing by, but somehow I was not fast enough to ask him for an autograph or a photo. My ears were still ringing.

Ok, that was my review and now it’s your turn!

The guy with Elton is Ron (chamäleon)

Hi Hans,

Very interesting review again! 8)
Your way to express some things are really funny like "a really small british flag" or "cheap Japanese camera."

I wonder what was wrong with James. :(
I hope he is not sick.

Your reviews make me laugh.

Thank you for your cheerful review!

So I am back after 1862km by car in 3 (2) days.
I was the 1st friday morning, in front of the halle, 9.20am. Half an hour later someone esle arrived, Foot (Patrice) Yessssssss a french easier to speak

Around 12 o'clock arived Ron and his friend, Ron speak french as well, double yessssss.
If I remenber welll, after it was Natalia and his son from Moscow, later Hans, the fans from Australia, Vladimir, and Bean. After to much people to remember all (sorry).

The weather wasn't with us, it was a bit rainny, we found a small place to protect from the rain and the cold wind, put the flag. But it wasn't a good/strategic place for the flags. We decide to change them of place and put them on the grid just on the gate, like this when the band will arrived they could saw the flags. When we arrived with all us flags closed of the gate I saw Uli.

This poor Uli was stoped of the gate and this stupid keeper didn't want to let him enter  , Uli was very very angry and I completly understand him. After 20 min behind the gate, the keeper let him enter. It's crazy.

15 min later, Michael arrived, without problems !!!! Michael was with a beautifull big mecerdes and Uli with a old break Volvo ...........

People arrived slowly, FOSer and not FOSer. So difficult to see everybody, we were not all on the same queue and too much people to move everytime.

At 19 o'clock the doors open, I was in the 10 first people entering, but I didn't see the stair, and the stage was up stairs. Result many peolpe on the 1st row, but It was Ok for me, I was just in front of the green spotlight of Matthias.
From the middle stage 's corner to me there was Kristof, Ron, a young guy, 2 big Germans (my bodyguards from Augsburg 2007  ) and me, after I didn't knew the people.
The security was very nice and they let the Kristof's son sit on the other side of the barrier. And they gave him the 2 first drum sticks who fall on the floor, it was really nice.

The audience was very good too, singing, moving but not pushing, nobody who try to take your place wow super !!!!!

About the show, to be honnest I am a bit disapointed. I think they stopped it in the middle, I don't understand why they stopped on RYLAH, and they didn't finnished with Uli and Michael.
I Singen they added a song at the end, it was not planed, why not here ? And the "final greet" without Uli and Micheal ....
Of course the music was perfect, Klaus' voice was incredible but for me it missing something at the end.

They were "almost" all happy to play together. At the 1st song I felt that Matthias wasn't fine, of course he played perfectly. But he didn't play / look the audience, smiled very rarely. Maybe because of the presence of Uli and Micheal, I don't know ..... but it wasn't a great show from him  :(
The others  ... excepted Matthias, there's someone on stage ? Ok it's a joke. But I didn't saw them (my ex bodyguards were too big  ). They came very rarely in front of me.

The pyro wooooooooooooooooooooooooooow, amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want it again !!!!!!!

And for finish about the show, my banner ............ I lost my banner, I think James has enough to see it!
At the of the show, Klaus took almost all the banner/flags from the fans, mine as well I think it was the last one. After RYLAH James take mine, put it on his shoulders come greet everybody and leave the stage .............my banner still on his shoulders!
James if you read this, I want my banner baaaaaaaaack !

So, it was a great show, I absolutly don't regret my trip !!!! I'm just disapointed by the "short" end and Matthias is my favorite band member, so to see him like this make me sad, that all. (and I lost my banner)

I hope they will make a DVD of this show and quickly, very quickly!! because it was a real great show , and all this fans from the world, I got no word for this !

I wanted to greet of all of them : Patrice, Ron, Vladimir, Rainbowgirl, Bean, Natalia and her son, Elton, David, Jürgen, Hans, fans fom Australia, Rusia, Italy, Germany (my bodyguards  ), Poland ...... sorry for those I forget, my brain isn't fit after this incredible day !!!

I was surprised Jabscorp arrived yeah you did it. We surch angels well there are...HANS my ticketangel arrived. YEAH i was glad to see him ,nice person. He was also loaded with a camera so i was especting him to be our 'pictured life' man. Natka and her son arrived they were also so longing to see the band. Congratulations you did it, respect. Amazing to see all those fans from our forum. Hans you did a nice review and Delphine also .. so we met Sean from australia greatttt we tried to put their flag 'down under' but i was just joking...There was so much talking over SCORPIONS. So like in the reviews we saw the cars arriving and our poor ULI had to wait...grrrrrrr strang but all fans let Uli in private we saw he was stressed but the 'beer' drivers had the first in and then ULI ;-)
Vladimir ,you are from the press(such a cameraman) next time you must get in urlier ;-))Bfan was also with us and seems many belgian fans were having fun singing some commercial funny things about our 'beer' in belgium ;-))
Claudia arrived also and it was very nice to meet her and we had energy like (pyro's)..Many germans fans were meeting so it was such a great event before the show...
I got a look to concertonline in the bus they were preparing and looking if it will be fine during the soundcheck.
Yeah this is Marcel , the son of Rudolf and his family...what a friendly guy.
It's the first time we could meet so easily without stress...ootdour waiting in the cold 7 hours for 'a night to remember' it is needed.
I entered the 5 but the security found some strange things in my bag...albums of pics,longplayers,...is this normal asked he on his neighbour euhhhh ask the boss?????? what the hell is this. I just saw everybody running and i was just a statue hands up legs open ;-) come on i am a fan so ....321 did a new personal record to run inside (first the stairs and then Matthias side this time)....countdown and i was glad to see Patrice and Delphine with us in the front. T shirts on and the show could begin. Hans was the sniper with his camera and Elton was just one piece of happiness
