Sunday, 26th July I took the train in my city at 8.30 AM. I had to take in total 5 trains (because of the mountains, you have to change very often). I traveled during 4 hours and a half and I arrived in Strasbourg at 12.30 AM. Christine was waiting for me in the quay. For me, it was a big moment; the last time I saw her eye to eye, it was in Montbéliard.
Then we have visited the city of Strasbourg. We ate something front of the cathedral that was so beautiful. I wanted to cry when I entered in it, I never saw something like that. In the interior, there was a very serene atmosphere and I needed it, sincerely. (I've taken photographs, when I'll be back in Switzerland, I'll upload them
)
Then we went to Christine's house and we began to prepare the barbecue. Then I met her neighbours, her cousin and his girlfried. We finished eating very late, and I went to my bed after midnight.
Monday, 27th July After a nice breakfast at 9 o'clock, we began to bring our bags in the car. At the moment to leave home, Christine's cat went out of the house and we had to search him during 10 minutes
At 10.18 AM, we were on the car and were leaving.
The trip lasted about 10 hours (thanks God that I didn't had to drive!) I have to say that Christine was a very good driver
During the trip, I heard on the radio a song that was called "Gabi"
It was a very curious coincidence. Then I also saw a truck where was written “Schenker”
We arrived in Carcassonne at 19.38. There was a little of wind and some clouds. The hotel was not expensive, we had the showers and the toilets outside of the bedroom in the corridor for everyone. But, it doesn’t matter! We put our bags on the bedroom and we asked to the woman at the reception if a girl who is calling Andrea was already in the hotel. At the same moment, I looked outside and I saw a nice blond girl with a terrible Scorpions’ t-shirt. Without any doubt, I was sure that it was her! She gave us a bottle of wine and we went out for dinner together.
We arrived at the castle of Carcassonne, and what a beautiful place! When I saw it, I was very surprised. I didn’t imagine that it could be like that.
We ate in a restaurant of the castle. In all the streets, there was a “strange” atmosphere. It was as if we were back in time, in the middle age. I appreciated it very much. As Christine already told, we met Karelia, very funny!
Now you will think that I’m not someone to take on holiday with
I understand if Christine won’t invite me one another time
In fact, everyone of us at the restaurant paid his meal. I forgot my money at the hotel and Christine had to pay for me. She looked at the addition and she forgot to calculate my meal. When the waitress came back of the cash desk, she said that it was missing 5€… … … And it was me
I was at the point to leave the restaurant without pay anything ahahah.
Tuesday, 28th July Now, the serious things begin!
We had a meeting with Andrea at 9 o’clock AM at the hotel; we went together with Christine, Julien and Andrea in the city of Carcassonne, but it was not as beautiful as the castle. We decided to go back to the castle and we arrived there at 10.14 AM.
There was not anybody in the queue, only one man. Between the theater and the hotel of the band, there was a church (also beautiful). It was very unusual to see that! We have waited a long time near the hotel, but we came back to the queue at 11.48 AM.
Alizée arrived after midday and it was very nice to see her for the first time. We were the 4 girls with the t-shirts “Bad girls running wild”. We ate something that we bought at the same place where James ate.
In the afternoon, it was always warmer. The sun was very hot and I had to drink a lot… The queue was always so little, we were only around 20. But, we were the first front of the barrier. Around 4 o’clock, Luis and Marescla joined us and it was nice.
Then the guys of the security arrived at the doors and were very unpleasant with us. We were treated as a herd… With the heat, we asked one of them a bottle of water and with luck he gave us one little that we shared with 6 persons. (The joy of the queue!
)
At 8 o’clock PM, the doors opened; Christine and Julien ran very fast to the first row. Me, I had a problem… The security man took my camera
We were ready to rock at the first row!!!!
We were front of the guitarist of Karelia, who looked very great. He had very long hair, that were very beautiful (Hans, I’m already waiting for one of your joke about it
) They played “The show must go on” and I was delighted about it. But, we were still waiting for our favorite band!!!
The technicians of the Scorpions came on stage and changed the equipment. Alizée and me were so excited, we were talking together during the waiting.
THE CONCERT We were already up (the places of the theater were seat) when we heard the intro…. My heart was already too speed and I had my eyes big opened. And those flies… incredible! During the show, there was a plenty of flies on the stage, and we ate a lot of them… Klaus and Matthias were annoyed by it, and I feel sorry for them. Hopefully the flies didn’t stay during all the concert.
They began with “Coming Home” and I was out of me. I was not anymore with my problems and I forgot everything. When Klaus was approaching our places, I was really crazy
I shouted his name and I was jumping jumping jumping… I even forgot to breathe!!!! Klaus was so great and amazing!!!! I loved all he made during the concert, and his shoes were absolutely beautiful!
We wear at less than one meter of the boys on stage, our hands were on the stage, our bodies were against the stage. Pawel gave me a plec, he was excellent with us. He was looking at us and we were really crazy.
At the middle of the concert, I was already without strength and I had to stop to jump or shout during some minutes. It’s here that I’d like to say that all my admiration goes to the band. I’m only 16 and I was tired, during that time Klaus was doing his job without any sign of tiredness. Mr. Meine, you’re the BEST!!!!! I saw that my mobile phone didn’t record the sound but just the pictures… What a disappointment… I tried to arrange this and I managed it for “Wind of Change”.
I received a drumstick that Alizée caught for me. THANKS!!! At the end of the concert, I held a Klaus’ picture out to Klaus with a pen and he signed me this picture. I couldn’t believe this at the same moment… It was the best thing he could do for me. Klaus, if you read it, thank you so much once again, you can’t imagine how precious this picture signed by you is for me, and what it means to me.
After the concert, I had no more voice and I had to search a coca cola because we didn’t take dinner and we were totally without any energy. It was hard to walk… I was empty of everything!
Then once again, we saw the guys going to the restaurant. I think it was a little “rude” to wait for them until 2 o’clock AM, but we didn’t had the chance to meet them during the day before the concert like everything was canceled. Klaus was once again so amazing when he came out of the restaurant. He signed some autographs and took pictures with the people who were there (we were maybe 15). Alizée took a picture of me with Klaus and I was once again fast crying after that.
It was the greatest Scorpions’ concert I saw, the sound was perfectly arranged and Klaus looked his best.
MESSAGE FOR THE BAND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE CONCERT AND EVERYTHING. I HOPE THAT THE HOTEL GAVE YOU THE GIFTS WE MADE FOR YOU. YOU WERE AS ALWAYS, FANTASTIC!!!
MATTHIAS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR VERY NICE COMPANY, YOU WERE AMAZING ON STAGE, YOU TOOK US WITH YOU AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE!
JAMES AND RUDOLF, YOU WERE NOT IN FRONT OF US AND WE DIDN’T SEE YOU SO MUCH BUT YOU WERE ALSO FANTASTIC!
PAWEL, THANKS FOR YOUR PLEC! YOUR HAIR IS ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL, IF I’D BE A MAN, I’D LIKE TO HAVE THE SAME!!!
AND THE BEST FOR THE END, KLAUS. YOU ROCKED ME LIKE A HURRICANE!!!!! YOU’RE THE GREATEST SINGER, PERSON I KNOW IN THIS WORLD. WITHOUT YOU, NOTHING WOULD BE THE SAME. HOPE YOU RECEIVED MY LETTER. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING YOU MADE, AND THE TIME YOU TOOK FOR US AFTER THE CONCERT. YOU’RE THE EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW, DEFINITELY!
I'm just laughing at the situation, trying to think what that must have looked like. I hope Klaus didn't eat any flies while singing, the poor guy!
