Hi, this is Mad Dog. Thank you so much for your concerns and words of support for Toshiko.

Today we had a confirmation of Toshiko's surgery date. She had an MRI, several blood tests, allergic reaction tests, etc. today, and she'll enter the hospital at 9:30 AM on December 8 and then be operated on that afternoon. She has no energy and appetite, and is in a generally weakened state.

It's in God's hands now.

I think no one doesn't know about the song "Kojo No Tsuki."
The music was composed by Rentaro Taki and his youngest sisiter had a grandson who was the most famous news caster in Japan. He also worked at NY branch during 80's and reported many important news.
He started a new news station that even young people could understand what was going on in Japan and met many VIP in that show.
I think it was this January, former British Tony Blair came to his program and had a long interview include young Japanese people about neaclear plant.

There is the offocial CD "Kojo No Tsuki" and Mr. Chikushi himself chose the Scorpions 1978's first concert in Japan's film in the official CD because he loved rock music.
The centinial celemony of "Kojo No Tusiki", he played the video of the Scorpions "Kojo No Tsuki" on his news show called "News 23."
The news program was alway keep hight sudience rating.

I know to everyone our language sounds strange, but it the same thing to the other country so I post his report of death here.

The song "Kojo No Tsuki" has deep history and even now children learn this song at school.
It was really pitty that the Scorpions couldn't meet him when they came to Japan last year.

Toshiko, you are a really amazing and unique woman, and you'll overcome this because you're strong and because hundreds of people from all over the world are praying for you... the strength of mind is unsuperable... today all the people who love you and even those who don't know you so well but sympathise and wish you to recover and feel better with all their hearts -all those people are sending you a piece of their heart and love to make you stronger. and You'll do it, You'll overcome everything! This is Mad Dog, Toshiko's husband.

As I read all of your posts just now, I am overwhelmed and deeply touched by your expressions of sympathy, warmth, and strength. Thank you so much for taking the time, during probably the busiest time of the year, to share such heartfelt, thoughtful feelings and words.

We checked Toshiko into the hospital this morning. Needless to say, she was a bit nervous but her surgeon is excellent and was very patient when explaining today's procedure to a non-native Japanese speaker like myself. The operation began at 1:30 PM and was supposed to last one hour. However, she was done about 3:30 PM. It turns out that the local anesthetic kept wearing off, so more had to be given to her time and time again. Toshiko told me that she could the nurse telling the doctor, "Her eyes are wide open," then with the anasthesia, Toshiko would get sleepy again but sometime later, "Her eyes are wide open again."

The good news is that everything went well and there should be no need for any further invasive operations. Thank God for that! When I left Toshiko tonight, she was trying to get some sleep. She's looking pretty well, all things considered, and I hope to have her home soon.

Normally I would never do this but I have received some PMs and emails asking how Toshiko is doing so I put some photos in PhotoBucket to show the hospital, etc., and one photo of Toshiko with her permission.
