Hello..Greetings from Istanbul Turkiye.
Scorpions has already visited us in 1993 and we have been looking forward to see them again for years.I can't describe the amazing night but thease words may be helpfull for it: AMAZING,UNBELIEVABLE...What a performance of the band and the voice of Klaus is still brilliant like in 1980's..Normally the concert would begin at 21:00 but they captured tha stage like a thunder at 21:55.We didn't think that they would be on the stage more than 1 hour but we were wrong.They played very long set list in 2 hours with joyful.The end of the night about 8000 people leave the beautiful place with pleasure.Here is the full set list of amazing night:

Hello,
Yesterday I came back from Turkey and now I'm able to write you about this amasing experience I had there !!
They are BIG ! TOO BIG !!!!! The Scorpions ROCKED Istanbul like nobody else! It's impossible to describe everything with mere words ! Thank you Scorpions !!!!!!!! I had the luck to be part of this amazing concert !
First I'd like to inform you about the day before the show . This day - August 21 the Scorpions were met by Turkey wth open arms !There was a big organisation for their visit in Istanbul and on the first day there was a press conference of the Scorpions for the Turkish press where I had the chance to present !
The Scorpions were a little bit late and when they came in only James was not with them because he was still travelling(when I was going out of the hotel I met him at the door entering the hotel with all his luggage). When the Scorps entered my heart turned around ,especially seeing Klaus ! I had the feeling that I have met them before-they were not different for me from what I imagined and what I have seen in pictures and videos ! I was sitting in front of Klaus and was staring at him all the time ! The press conference was very interesting ! I think very important is what Rudolf said - that they have MORE HISTORY TO WRITE !
When the press conference ended the journalists started making pictures with the Scorpions ! I didn't but I managed to say hello both to Matthias and Klaus and touched their hands -then I did't want to want to wash my hand for all the evening !
On the other day -the day of the show I got to Park Orman -a very beautiful place, at 5:50 and there a huge queue was already waiting -a lot of cool young people !(I'm impressed by the goodness and kindness of the Turkish people )!
When we entered there I found a place in the middle (in front of Klaus again) - it was at about 50 metres from the stage .
At first the Turkish band ELEMENT made a cool performance - I liked them and when they finished we stared anxiously waiting for the Scorpions .................................
The show started at 9:50. When James appeared and Hour1started there was a roar in the crowd -the Scorpions were met like Roman emperrors ! WOW !!!!! What a cheerful crowd ! The Scorpions were amased and happy and cheerful too - no doubt: there became some kind of a chemistry between the Scorps and the people !The audience reacted on everything happening on the stage as one ; the people knew every word of the songs and we sang all the time with the Scorpions !The crowd was on the level of the band!!
The setlist was amasing - I heard all the songs I have dreamed about ,I saw tears running down the face of one of the boys near me at Still Loving You ! Other boy was making gestures to me how cool the show was!
We were pressed to each other and from every hair on my head was dripping water !My shirt was wet too!It was the same with the guys around me !We were like brothers and sisters there ! One boy got from somewhere a little bottle of water, gave to another boy and that boy gave to me first to drink ,then he !We sang all the time with two boys on my right !
At every song there was an explosion at Park Orman! Really nothing could compare the live show ! The songs are supercharged with emotion and seeing the guys rocking too in front of you - the feeling is different !Now when I listened to Blackout and Dynimite today I remembered how great was when I was listening to and singing them at the show ! An unforgettable time...! I miss tis show .....!..A lot ! I'm a little bit sad !
On the press conference Klaus said ,as Matthias did before that the Rolling Stones are who make the real biggest live rock shows nowadays, but the Scorpions are too ! The are the other big ones !
The stage was set very well and the Scorps were so beautiful there that at one moment I thought to myself that they look like porcelain dolls on this stage ! They were very cool rockin ,Klaus was very amusing with the audience !

Oh Marie sweetie, how wonderful for you! Did you get any pix or signatures? Reading your review was almost like being there. And I know how sad it was that it was over!! I hope you will see them again soon.
BTW I know I am a little bias, but I think Scorps put on a much better show than Rolling Stones!

Oh,Kate,thank you !I'm preparing for Strasbourg with the other FOSSERS ; I wanted to see the London show, because of the performance of Michael Schenker with the Scorps ,but..I changed my plans because I wanted to meet the other Scorpions fans from the forum in Strasbourg! Next time I'll go to London !
And about the show in Athens I'm really anxious to see you too and to attend the Scorpions show together !!!!
We'll have an unforgettable time there !!!
