Hello my friends!!!
Well I was dissapointed when I returned back home from Kiev and saw that forum dissapeared. But now everything's ok and I'll try to write what happened to me few weeks ago

At the 8th of April I got a call from my Kiev's friend Dima who told me that
Scorpions came to Kiev and he met the guys in a hotel "Natsionalny" where they stayed. I was very happy that Scorps finally arrived in Kiev. In that evening I was moving from Odessa to Kiev by train.
Early in the morning at 9th of April me and 2 my friends came to Kiev. We also
met some of the Moscow fans at the sation. Then we had some free time for walk and for eating. At 3 pm we had to go to a hotel "Natsionalny" for Scorpions press-conference. Me and Victoria (scorps.ru webmaster) were invited there. But it was also easy for other fans to go there because no one checked passes.
There were a lot of mass media (TV, radio, press, etc). Before the
press-conference a woman presented Scorps t-shirt to me. It was very pleasent because it's a special t-shirt designed for Kiev's show and wasn't on sale.
When band came in the hall we saw that there's no Klaus with them. As we were told later Klaus flew to Hannover from Vilnius to be some days with his family. He came to Kiev late at night at 9th of April.
After press-conference I'v got band's signatures on my Unbreakable Limited
Edition CD. I also have 2 Kingdom Come albums and Kottak's "Therupy" for James. He was so happy when he saw Therupy in my hands. He didn't expected that Ukrainian fan have it too. In the end I presented a Odessa photobook to Rudolf. Also I met Tanya Sazonova there and made a photo with her.
When we left hotel there was a rain so we hadn't opportunity to go for a walk. We went to our flat to have some rest. Then Dima from Kiev came to us with video camera and showed what he recorded at the press-conference. Then we saw a report about press-conference at Ukrainian TV and saw each othere there.
The next day we came earlier to Sport Palace. It was easy to enter the venue with Press Passes which me and Victoria got at the press-conference. So we came inside and had a chance to be at the band's soundcheck. The band came on stage about 5 p.m. They played some times "We Were Born To Fly" and "Humanity". At the end of the soundcheck they played "Holiday" (only acoustic part). When it was over we decided to stay there. Because security didn't told us to leave. So we stood just in front of the stage. Then people started to come inside. The venue was almost full.
At 7.30 p.m. the lights were down and we heard intro "Hurricane 2000" and after words: "Ladies and gentlemen! Children of all ages! Welcome please, welcome! Please! SCOR-PI-ONS!!!" Scorpions came on stage. The first song was "Coming Home"! Audience is crazy!!!!! Btw they played full version of the song. Then of course was "Bad boys running wild" which also was sang by the audience. After it they played a song from Unbreakable - "Love'em or leave'em". Then some Scorps classics - "The Zoo" (Matt as always great on voice-box. Klaus threw a lot of drum sticks in the crowd) and "Make it real". Btw I heard it first time live. Then they played another song from Unbreakable - "Deep And Dark". The next one was instrumental "Coast to coast" featuring Klaus on guitar. Rudy and Klaus recognized me and smiled some times. Then they played "Holiday". After acoustic part Klaus as always played with the audience. But the most interesting thing was when all musicians appeared on stage and Klaus sang "Longing for the sun"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was great moment and the crowd went crazy!!!!!!
Later Klaus introduced new song "Humanity" and the premiere of "We Were Born To Fly" I liked both songs!!! After new material they played 2 songs from Crazy World: "Don't believe her" and "Tease me please me". The last one was sang very good by the crowd.
The band left the stage leaving Jimmy for the "Kottak Attack". It was amazing!!! I have no words!!! James Kottak is the best drummer. No doubt. In the end of the solo he screamed: "Kiev! Ukraine! Kiev! Ukraine! YOU KICK ASS!!!!!!!!" Then he took a bottle of beer, showed FcUK to it and broke it on his head.
A time for Scorps classics came: "Blackout"Another piece of meat" and "Big City Nights" Then ballads time: "Still loving you" and "Wind Of Change". All the songs were sang by the crowd. Then Klaus said: "We won't let you go before we Rock You Like A Hurricane!!!!!"
The last song was a special present to Kiev: "When The Smoke Is Going Down"
Oh my God it was really great show. I was so happy to see the guys after 3 years of waiting!!! Everybody was leaving the venue with smiles on their faces!!!
After show we went to a bar to celebrate this great event and didn't sleep almost all night.
Near 6 a.m. at 11th of April we came to a hotel "Natsionalny" because we knew that band will leave it at that time. We had about 15-20 minutes to make photos with guys and speak with them. After "meet and greet" band left the hotel and drove to airport. Dima from Kiev was on car and invited us to drove after them. Jimmy some times opened a window in the car and did some "cool faces" to us. In the aiport we did some video recording of every member and they left for registration. We also had a conversation with Tanya Sazonova about 15 minutes. She is very sweet girl.

Well it was a very great experience! I'll never forget those 3 glory days! It was nice to meet Scorpions, Tanya and every Scorps fan who came there from Russia and other Ukrainian cities!!! Hello to everybody!!!!!
Thanks to Scorpions and everybody who took part in the organisation of the show in Kiev (especially to Anton Abdulaev from "ACA"!).

7th time is hopefully will be Karlovy Vary!!!!!

P.S. photos will be soon!!!

Hi ScorpsfanUkraine,

Thank you so much for the great review.
You really took a long time for us to explain about the show and I can imagine what the show was like easily.

Did Klaus sing the quiet part of the song"Coming Home?"
How many people were there at the venue?
As your review, the set-list would be

Soundcheck

We Were Born To Fly
Humanity
Holiday(Acoustic part)

Intro

Hurricane 2000

The show

1.Coming Home
2.Bad Boys Running Wild
3.Love'em Or Leave'em
4.The Zoo
5.Make It Real
6.Deep And Dark
7.Coast To Coast
8.Holiday(Full version)
9.Humanity
10.We Were Born To Fly(Premiere)
11.Don't Believe Her
12.Tease Me Please Me
13.Kottak Attack(Drum solo)
14.Blackout
15.Another Piece Of Meat
16.Big City Nights
17.Still Loving You
18.Wind Of Change
19.Rock You Like A Hurricane
20.When The Smoke Is Going Down

It sounded like you had the most memorable three days in your life. It sounded like everone's dream came true.
Now we are all eyes for your pictures and videos if you don't mind sharing them with us.

I have a question.
The song "Living For Tomorrow", the Scorpions will never play it again in Russia?
What was the reason for the Scorpions to make that great song for Russia?

Thank you again for your wonderful review!
Toshiko

I would be happy when they change their setlist at least a little....I would like to hear more songs from new album, for example 321, The Cross, Humanity and We were born to fly of course....
They really could exchange their setlist at least some songs....I hope so.....

Hello Sandra,

I think that they will play more new songs after release date of the new album,
so we may hope some great surprises in Bratislava, at least I think so.

Toshiko No, Klaus didn't sang quiet part of "Coming Home". But they played full hard part of the song.

I can't tell you exactly how many people were there but the venue was almost full. We were afraid of a little quantity of people at the concert because official news about the show appeared only 2 weeks before the show. But as you see Scorpions don't need such a big promo here in Ukraine

Also I don't think that it were the MOST memorable days in my life as you said. The most memorable days in my life were when Scorpions came in ODESSA for the first time in 2002. But Kiev days of course will be always one of the memorable days

I don't think they'll play Living For Tomorrow. But who knows?!

Photos will be soon. I'm not sure about videos as I don't have them yet. My friend from Kiev must send 'em too me.

Vlad..did the Scorps do the the famous Knot in the front of the stage..it's where Rudy lays down on his back in front of the stage and the rest of band minus James comes running up next to him. The Scorpions started doing it again last summer. I hope they include that and the famous Pyramid where Klaus jumps on Rudy and Matthias legs at the front of the stage. On the upcoming tour..
