But in american english? Maybe the english language here till now was just the british english eheh I mean, portuguese from brazil is very different of the portuguese from portugal for example. We can understand each other but the way they use the words is different of us :P

For example "I'm learning english" in portuguese:

Brazil: Eu estou aprendendo inglês
Portugal: Eu estou a aprender inglês

ehehehe :P

Christy dear,

As I, (who am not a native speaker and my english knowledge is far from a good one), I think it seriously, also, I know wit, thus Roberta is right.
My english teacher has lived in the U.S. and Great Britain as well through years, and she also mentioned some differences to me, and they aren't in category of slang.
Samples later, because I will have to go.
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

Oh that's interesting! Yes when you have time, give me the samples. But as far as this forum, nothing out of the ordinary in the English language has been on here that has made me think it's any different from American English...??? hmmmm what do you think? :|

:D HI roberta I have found that in the USA especially in movies the way to say how are you? is something like "GET YOUR ass moving ! I'm talking to you, what the hell are you thinking about!!", he he I sometimes rather watch a romantic english movie.

There is a huge difference between the English that is spoken in the states and in England....plus the same words different then in the states....so here are some links to keep you busy....also if you are going to teach english as a second language to others....most places would rather you speak British English then American English....it is deemed to be more proper....

Thnx Aslan, for that explanation. My next question is, why would there be a need to ADD American English language to the forum? Isn't it the same in written form as British English? That has me confused. Thnx again.
