hey Spiders, I went to the rock and roll hall of fame site, and the rock and roll hall foundation does the choosing of nominees. Unfortuately, they do not have an email address. I can understand, considering the ton of email they would get for the Scorpions alone.... but you got to wonder if they would even read postal mail...also, the criteria is simple: 25 years must pass from time of first album release. That's it. The nominees are voted on by a panel of 1,000 people in the industry, and if 51% of them approve (510 votes), then the artist/band is inducted. I do not know if the definition of rock there is MTv influenced, I know many people here are from all over the globe, many who do not follow the scripts MTv gives them, I just don't know if the panel accepts requests from non- USA citizens?

Anyhow I was thinking.... in the style of our autographed book to the Band, maybe we should also assemble a small biography, dicsography, awards, achievments and special praises given the band. Many bands have stated publicly the Scorps' influence on their music, and these statements are public record. We can include their charitable work, such as with White Dove, and their visits to many countries, including Russia, and even the existence of this Forum and the FOS. We can have this perhaps notarized to be authentic, and then mail it around the world gathering signatures. I wish we could all email the foundation, but the fact that there is no email address for them only hints of how closed off and outdated some of these 1000 voters must be.

Anyhow, it was an idea, the address is below, I am going to work on a letter to send soon, unless we do a big sign and ship. I don't have much resources to do a big project like Thomas' and I know Thomas' has his hands full with our gift for the Band. It was just an idea, but I think we should all try to write in Scorpions as a nominee...
