To PBalzano1. I don't think I said anything offensive or anything about her accent. I just stated that her voice seemed better suited for the older stuff she did. That's the way it is with voices. Guys like Brian Johnson are suited for one style and the Bruce Dickinsons for another. And the Scorpions made their move out of Germany early in their career, they did not wait till their 40's. We are saturated these days with the exposure of vocal talent on the internet. And its true, anyone can cover a song, it takes talent to create your own good song from your heart. Maybe I'm sensitive to it being a musician. To me being good is being able to write something good. Rudolf is a good example. He himself knows he's not the fastest guitar player or the best, ( I say the best Rhythm guitarist still) but he's been a great composer.
If you are her husband then you know the music business. It's dirty out there. Talented musicians get passed over while images are made famous. Ted makes a great point on Motley Crue and Poison. If they did not put on that makeup and try to look like girls, no one would notice them cause their music was weak. From that year why did Motley Crue get big while other bands like Praying Mantis, Saxon, Tygers of Pang Tang (who had John Sykes), even Thin Lizzy did not make it huge. And they all had far superior material. Maybe as a musician I refuse to cave in to this media hype. Lady Gaga, for all her vocal talent, (at least she has a voice unlike the Britney's and Jenny Lopez's), if she did not use the outlandish outfits, she would not be famous today.
Anyway I wish Nargiz luck. Just because I didn't like her performance of a cover song does not mean I don't think shes capable of doing something good.
