Dear fans,
after hundreds of concerts, with each and every show performed just like a well oiled machine, we gave it all every nite...we came to Nancy in France...and boom, out goes the lights! Who's to blame? As you all know, we always like to share the stage with some of our dear friends when it is agreed upon in advance. The show in Nancy went downhill because the promoter of that show wanted to milk 'The Nite To Remember' concept one last time without any approval from band and management!! We understand the way you feel about that show and feel very sorry for our die hard fans who came from all over Europe to Nancy expecting something we were not aware of?!?! Thank-you for all the love and support...we hope we can make up for it one way or another! Regarding James' performance in Nancy...please see his personal statement... We are looking very much forward to seeing all of our family, friends, & fans when we are back in Europe in the fall! keep on rocking, The Scorpions!

James Kottak... I would like to send an apology out to all The Scorpions friends, family, & fans who travelled from near and far to see us at the Nancy France show last Saturday June 3rd. My performance sucked and was below average to say the least. With a combination of too much alcohol & my prescription medication, I was in no shape to play. Allthough I wasn't in Nancy:
Yes, I so respect you Scorpions for your describtion, you thought us worth for an explanation, it is wonderful.
There wouldn't have too many famous rockstars to do it.

However, I absolute, and maximal admiration is for you James dear.
I admire your straight,honest caracter, and that you didn't make us total stupids.
Everybody makes mistakes time by time, but if we are able to admit them not just to ourselves but in publish, it deserves a total forgiveness, and respectation, at least in my eyes.
Thank you for your courage, and gentle behaviour James.
Allthough I have loved you till this time as well, you grew in my eyes very much, as hungarian say.

i think it's a good sign that they apologize with their fans for what happened/not happened in Nancy.
I think we had the right to know the true about the last concert in europe (till now) and they gave us a explaination about it.
about me , that i was in Nancy, everything bad happened there is forgot now....and can't wait to see them again on the road!!!!!!

Scorpions are a class act no doubt about it!

While we love these guys and we have a short time to watch them on stage, we just have to remember that they are human. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day or even two or you don't feel good or went out too late the night before. Only problem when you are a rock star is, you can't really call in sick because there is no one to replace you!

I know how disappointed folks were and I can understand completely. I just hope that everyone enjoyed the time they did get to enjoy the show and think of all the wonderful energy and great music!
